His centre-bounce attendances were really good, his decision-making made us look much better, and he knows where to be... he just pops up in great places at great times. No surprise to me that he was first to the ball when Acres kicked it to absolutely no-one.

I love Blake Acres, but I swear he gets paid for every metre he kicks it up in the air

fun fact, hes very proud of his high kicks and practices it.

he claims the extra height means that a true pack will form and prevents intercept marking. if in doubt, kick it high.

Wouldn't have thought Harry would be singing the song if it was concussion. Reckon he was pretty happy to get subbed off...

If he misses next week, JSOS gets his deserved chance. If Martin gets rubbed out I suspect Motlop will get promoted to the starting 22 and we'll bring in another sub. Dow makes the most sense - another game like that, you'd love to be able to bring in a bloke who will hunt, win and drive the ball forward in those important stoppages.

I think there are a number of players who really needed the experience of playing in a final to truly understand the difference from H&A. Some lifted, but others needed to dig a little deeper to find the grit necessary to go on when you're stuffed. I really, truly would like the club to issue a please explain coupled with clips of near perfect tackles executed by Martin in the third and Fog across all 4 terms, because how they could be considered frees against is bonkers to me.

I also think that if Sydney exposed a weakness it's that our KPD's and mediums go for marks almost all the time and if you're stronger overhead you're able to take it contested over us. You're not going to see such poor performances from Gov and brainfades from Kemp, Marchbank like that now they know what finals are like.

We take the win and gear up for next week.
