That means you got a ticket. Go to your Ticketek account and click on your profile button in the top right, then click Order History. Your ticket wont be there until Wednesday but it will tell you what you've been allocated.

Dad managed to get a standing room ticket in M21. Is it normal for club members to get issued tickets in the AFL members area?

For Grand Finals where they sell that standing area, yes.

I'm in the same pod as you, which OK by way of being on the wing. Were I placed deep in a pocket in standing area, I may have flipped the ticket.

I've been allocated 4 x Standing Room tickets in bay M16 in the Southern Stand.

Im looking at the possibility of swapping two of my tickets (or even all 4) for seated tickets anywhere in the ground. Can be anywhere in the nosebleed or Restricted View seats.

The reason being, my elderly parents will be unable to stand for the whole game. We went through the ballot process with our fingers crossed we might get seated tickets but it hasn't panned out that way. My preference would be to trade for four seats somewhere in the ground so we could all sit togther, or failing that me and my partner will be fine to stand if I could secure two seats for my folks.

If anyone has 2 x seats (or 4) they'd rather swap for standing room in bay M16 pls contact me to discuss.

Only thing is, im not sure how it would work in terms of actually swapping the tickets. Like, how does each party actually take possession of the other's tickets etc. I need to research how best to do the actual trade..

Big thank you to our great club for promptly addressing the ticketing fiasco. Caused a lot of unecessay stress to many members. Hopefully all P1 members will now get a seat and other categories at least get a ticket. Oh for the days when people gave their spare tickets to the Salvoes and you could buy them from them on GF day for a donation. That's how my father and I got into the 1958 GF.

I am a survivor. I am 62 years old. My first remembered Grand Final is 1970. I went to 1977 drawn GF and 1979. I survived the Bob Rose heartbreak years. I missed 1990 and 2010 whilst overseas. 2011 and 2018, what can I say.

I am not a victim but battle with the passionate pies supporter mentality.

I find it funny how “desperate” people are for GF tickets… if you were that desperate you would have gotten a membership that allowed you access.

From what I saw every P2 got standing (assuming as some P3 got some)

Probably check your account later tonight before going to sleep, or tomorrow morning. It takes a while from being charged to then showing up in your ticketek account. If you have been charged you should be almost guaranteed a ticket.

If no P2 were allocated before P1, and tickets are allocated on “next best available “, how can it be that some P2 and P3 got better seats than P1????

Reading between the lines of what Kelly has said, I’m assuming this would be because some single seats in category 1 were available and went to individual ticket purchasers in priority 2, while groups of 5 for example couldn’t be accommodated in higher priority sections. I don’t see any other way of allocating them without this occurring. The more we find out, the more it appears the club hasn’t really done anything wrong here.

The most diplomatic way to appease the people whose own mistakes led to their tantrums.

With the caveat that Ticketek can improve many of their systems considerably, they should not be copping criticism for what's happened in the last 36 hours.

Dont forget you get access to 40 games throughout the year and heavily subsidized finals tickets (whether your team makes it or not).. the GF ticket once you get to Gold is the icing on the cake

BTW, I have been offered 2 tickets for $5000! but this way out of my price range. If anyone wants to pay $4500 I'll happily pay $500 for the other
