Last year I was priority 3 (Interstate) so thinking ahead this year I bought a social club membership as well (around $100) to get priority 2 and got a ticket. In 2 years I'm 25 year member and get priority 2 automaically.

Definitely adding the SC component while we are competiting. I'm also not far from the 25 year milestone which will be a plus. I do love that being a member for 25 years is rewarded

No disrect for my fellow Pies supporters who are also MCC members. It's a bit of an irony as I walk past the members resesrve and we get the "Welcome to the MCG - the peoples ground" over the loud speakers to be followed by dress code advice so no ripped jeans, no open shoes and shirts with collors

I find it funny how “desperate” people are for GF tickets… if you were that desperate you would have gotten a membership that allowed you access.

From what I saw every P2 got standing (assuming as some P3 got some)

I have heard the word die hard thrown around a bit the last 48 hours.

Not sure you can call yourself that when not even a member.

I have gone to about 13 games this year including Perth game and currently a 15 year member, I wouldn't even call myself a die hard.

Silver and Gold different costs...say between 500-700 per year... wait list to Gold has blown out a bit now... up to maybe 15+ years( substantially quicker than MCC tho)

Heard they have capped Gold with Collingwood.

You could change your support each year and currently the only team you can't change support for now is Collingwood.

The most diplomatic way to appease the people whose own mistakes led to their tantrums.

With the caveat that Ticketek can improve many of their systems considerably, they should not be copping criticism for what's happened in the last 36 hours.

The MCC taking 1/4 of the tickets which wouldn’t happen at another Staduim is a huge issue

This is the real major issue. I’ve said it elsewhere but cricket is a parasite on the game. The MCC would be bankrupt if it wasn’t for the AFL and the Collingwoods and Richmonds of the league. Would love it if those two teams said they’ll build a 125k seat stadium and told the MCC to go and get stuffed but I know it ain’t happening.

Terrible comment and how belittling.

I'm a die hard Collingwood fan just like everyone else on BF. Unfortunately due to my financial circumstances, I could not afford one of the higher priced memberships this year. That does not make me any less of a fan than you or anyone else for that matter.

I'm gutted I missed out and can't see my beloved team play on Saturday. You have no right to question somebody's "desperation" as you put it when you don't know their circumstances. I would suggest a basic class on emptahy for people such as you.

I wish I could somehow get a standing room ticket at least. Chances are slim that somebody would sell me a ticket. If I don't get one, I will be cheering on from the mighty AIA Centre with the rest of the faithful.

I know a lot of AFL GOLD members who sell tickets, I sourced one for a mate yesterday, Cost him 1k which i thinks about right.

1k for a ticket that cost 200? Members like that should lose their memberships.
