Rolled his ankle a week or so ago which is why he missed this past VFL match

We may decide to throw him in the deep end, but we'd need to be prepared that he may only have half a match at this level currently in him
He will get plenty of games next year there’s no real rush to get him in at the tail end of the season

Get him 200% right for next year and give him a block of games to develop

His last two weeks coming on as sub have been more than serviceable.
Serviceable against Port yes. Against Collingwood he was poor.

He tried hard and tackled well. But he had 2 clearances, 1 score involvement and absolutely butchered the ball. It was 40% game time coming off the bench when a full game would normally be ~65% so he played most of a full game. Basically he played as a main inside mid, won very little ball and did nothing with it.

I really like him as a player and people forget how good he was last year and how unlucky he was to be dropped. But he doesn't deserve to be picked right now.

If it's just a minor injury that is almost healed - I reckon giving him a game at AFL level will mentally keep his motivation up. If he gets injured hes got a few months to recover. Right now he's probably wondering if he'll ever get to play AFL with the run he's had.

Disagree I’m sure he realises where he is at and the team is at this stage of the year

If we are out of finals contention after this week he might get a debut , otherwise I’m sure the club would be telling him it’ll be after a strong pre season .

I don't know that he will get plenty of games next year. If he plays enough games in the VFL in a row, then he SHOULD, but we have been reluctant to play young specialist ruckmen as the number one.

May not have a choice next year if Stanley goes and we don’t draft a ready replacement
What is the thinking? Stanley to pull the plug or be pushed out? He is one of Scott's favourites (as admitted by Scott)

Club must have read my post - injury report is out:

  • Cam Guth to play this week - yet to determine what level
  • Simpson will play VFL this week
  • Hawkins will complete full training tomorrow, decision to be made re availability v St K
  • Stanley will train tomorrow, no decision yet re availability v St K
  • Rohan ruled out with minor hamstring injury - will 'potentially miss weeks after that'
  • Blicavs 'still a couple of weeks away'
  • Willis and Clarke seasons are over; won't play VFL this week

Is that Jhye Clark they're referring to?

I hope we play Guthrie in the ones
Either as a starting mid and sub him off
Or a sub and bring him on

No point him playing VFL when our season is on the line and our midfield is depleted

Minor hamstring that’s potentially weeks? What

It's Rohan. He's made of glass and has been his entire career. The only solution is to hope we make it to finals and get him right for the first week.
sounds as if he is beyond that- season over
