IDK, hard to put concussion and neck injuries down to conditioning. Similar with Ladhams, Logan, Roberts with ankles and knees.

This might make sense if most of our injuries were calf, hamstring, quad, groin or side issues.
I was referring to the fact that a diminished injury list won't change the fact we have a mostly out of shape and out of touch playing list. So I don't expect the wins to start pouring in once the cavalry returns.

I’m half expecting to read “Kurt’s ankle has progressed and we expect him to resume running soon”.

I would just like the Club to confirm we have stopped paying him.

Yeah, realised and edited after. Brain fade (mine) given your other posts about it.

Injury update has been provided ahead of Round 16 v Geelong

Lance Franklin
Lance’s rehab on his knee continues to progress. He will aim to train this week and we will test his availability to play Geelong this weekend.

Peter Ladhams
Peter’s running volume and speed work has increased over the last fortnight. He commenced change of direction work last week and will be introduced into team training next week.

Matt Roberts
Matt began skills training last week and has continued to build his conditioning running over the past few weeks, with the intention of integrating him into full training in the coming weeks.

Will Hayward
Will was a late withdrawal against the West Coast Eagles due to illness. He will be available for selection this weekend against Geelong.

Cooper Vickery
Cooper did not complete the VFL match against Brisbane Lions. Investigations last week revealed he has a bone stress injury in his metatarsal. He will spend a period of time in a boot until his pain settles.

Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services Damian Raper provided an update on the injury list ahead of Round 17 against Richmond, presented by Castlereagh Imaging.
Lance Franklin
Lance completed a training block over the weekend and took part in our main skills training this week. He has recovered well and will return to play against Richmond.

Joel Amartey
Joel will be managed this week and will not play in Thursday night’s match against Richmond. He has now put together a solid block of playing time since returning from a hamstring injury which kept him out for seven weeks and we will continue to take a proactive approach to his management.

Chad Warner
Chad has sustained a calf strain and will miss this week’s game against Richmond. He will then be assessed further by our rehabilitation team to determine his return to play timeframe.

Matt Roberts
Matt completed main training this week and tolerated his contact progressions well. He will be a test to return to play some modified game time in the VFL this week.

Peter Ladhams
Peter returned to training with the main group this week, completing modified team skills. He will aim to complete full training with ruck work and contact next week.

Jacob Konstanty
Jacob missed our VFL game against Geelong on the weekend due to some pain in his quad. He has some very low grade inflammation around his thigh bone and will require a short deload before building back in to football.

Cooper Vickery
Cooper has commenced weight bearing in his boot. He will remain in the boot until the pain in his metatarsal resolves.

Latest Swans update:

Joel Amartey
Joel was managed for last Thursday night’s match against Richmond. He will train this week and will be assessed for his return against the Western Bulldogs.

Chad Warner
Chad has commenced running as part of his rehabilitation from his calf strain. He won’t be available for this Thursday night’s match against the Bulldogs.

Angus Sheldrick
Gus sustained an ankle injury in Thursday’s game against Richmond. He is currently non-weight bearing and will require further assessment before his rehabilitation time frames are confirmed.

Jake Lloyd
Jake is recovering well from the concussion suffered in the match against Richmond. He will be managed as per the AFL Concussion Guidelines.

Matt Roberts
Matt returned from his MCL injury in the VFL match against Richmond. He completed the game without any issues and is expected to play a full game this week.

Peter Ladhams
Peter completed team skills and contact conditioning last week. He will be a test to return to play in the VFL this week.

Jacob Konstanty
Jacob is progressing well in his rehabilitation. He will commence modified team skills, with a view to returning to team training next week.

Cooper Vickery
Cooper has commenced weight bearing in his Camboot. His pain continues to improve and we expect he will come out of the boot within the next fortnight.

Just a quick question, I was just reading Sheldrick has a syndesmosis injury, apparently he hurt it in the first quarter of last weeks game? My question is would he have damaged it anymore by playing on with it !! that was John Longmires quoted on the Swans App

Don’t know - but syndesmosis injuries aren’t good. Likely season over for poor Gus.
