Sorry, had to head out urgently, and didnt get to finish the yarn!

Actually, it is just me!!! Had the MRI, and met with the surgeon this morning. Getting it operated on next Monday at Orthosports Vic, who specialize in this type of surgery, esp for elite athletes here in Melbourne! So getting the best.

Sorry about the heart attacks caused!
How long will you be out for? Will you be ok for round 1?

LATEST INJURY REPORT

Last seen limping out of the surgeon's office. Severe tear to the medial meniscus. Goes on for knee arthroscopy surgery on Monday morning to repair the meniscus & general knee cleanout!

What a bugger!

Kyrgios got the same injury?

Thanks Janey ... It has been a real pain! Tore it badly as we were getting our house ready for sale. Doctor first thought bone infection - Blood test negative. Torn ligament - X-rays negative. Finally gout, so threw every sort of anti-inflammatory at it - No success, other than slight reduction in swelling, and able to drag my leg around. Then we packed up, headed to Melbourne, where a friend immediately said, 'get an MRI, I think you have done your meniscus.' MRI confirmed a bad meniscus tear with a flap extruded out, and a floating piece of cartilage trapped in the gutter - the cause of the massive pain.

Cant wait for the surgery on Monday

Best of luck with the op and recovery. At least it's a relief to get to the bottom of what the problem was.

Orazio has calf tightness (still) and is “recovering” - god help him. Dixon is interesting in that he had laser eye surgery recently. Maybe he will now be able to judge (see) the ball. Will be interesting to see if his game improves. Dursma apparently flattened by Scully. All should be back to full training next week.

Others are Clurey (knee) Sinn (still that ruddy groin - will we ever see him?) Mead (shoulder) Burgoyne (knee) McEntee (hamstring) and Dumont(calf) currntly out but back to full training Monday).

Wines will be back February 6 to training.

You can set your clock to it. As soon as hinkley said he hadnt missed a session, he misses a session. Just dont ever talk you ****ing boiled cabbage.

If Dixon has had eye surgery why not earlier? Just worried about his racing career 🤷

Junior Rioli did some running after having Covid over the past week, while Charlie Dixon sat out the session after laser-eye surgery. Jackson Mead copped a shoulder knock on Monday and was restricted to jogging on the sidelines. Ollie Lord was walking along the boundary, on the mend from a lacerated kidney, but without a timeline for a return. Tom Clurey (knee) was in and out of drills, while Josh Sinn (groin) and Jase Burgoyne (knee) did not participate in match simulation. Mead, Clurey, Sinn, Burgoyne, Jed McEntee (hamstring) and Trent Dumont (calf) should be back in full training on Monday.

I had laser eye surgery, did wonders for the eyesight, killed my night vision though.
Hopefully we don’t get too many night games 😂

Sinn: I will believe it when I see it. Nothing that has been done suggests he will make a difference. I hope he delivers like a number one pick (which is what he effectively cost us) but I think reality is he will take a while. Like all players in our squad I hope he does well and I will be ecstatic if he delivers on his perceived potential.

Just to be clear, we know exactly what Sinn cost us now:
Pick 16 (18 - Sheldrick) & Ladhams, for;
Pick 12 (14) & Future 3rd (Scully)

Then

Pick 14 (Chesser) & Future 2nd (Burgiel), for;
Sinn

Consolidated Equation:
Sheldrick + Ladhams + Burgiel = Sinn + Scully

High Risk, yes. High Reward, also yes.

Equation is helped by Ladhams' continued regression and lack of professionalism. Lil' Pisty, ****'s sake.
