Agreed! Issac Cumming is also one I like also a Broken Hill boy and a good option if we miss out on Redman

Watching that game on the weekend the eagles older guys have lost all spirit they’ve had enough at the club
Call me stupid but I’d throw a future 4th to WCE for Gaff
Costs nothing and we need midfield depth , get him back into a good environment give us 3 years , chase that flag you foolishly missed out on
Form temporary , class is permanent and he has that in spades

Class is permanent but foot speed and reflexes aren't.

Is it worth looking at Harry Perryman as a ‘pre-agent’? Give away the NM 2nd for him? Stuck playing in defence for the Giants at the moment, but has shown previous good form in the middle. I reckon he could be useful in adding to our midfield options

FWIW we bid on him in his draft year

Not for me, we need express pace in our team. Most of our players are same paced and we need someone like NWM. The the problem is we have very similar players all round and need something different.

I’d look to trade macAdam now before he loses all value, hopefully Gollant could take his spot. Plus he’s 28 and could help a team like Freo or even Collingwood who are in finals or close. Maybe a 2nd rounder for him. With maybe 6 player delisted or traded this year, we could trade next years into this year attack this draft or trade for a few good players to take us into the top 6

If you look at COLL ...their Midfield isn't stacked; Crisp, Daicos, T.Mitchell, Adams, De Goey ....they have one FWD of note & one KPD of note ......but it's their gameplan & mindset that differentiates them from others

I do believe, we're a KPD and a MID short .....but each year we'll have 3 x Draft pricks to get those players ...."maybe" a FA

IMO we're in a good position ....with talent still developing in SANFL

Ash is out of contract, not established at a big Vic club, his team isn’t knocking the lights out, Vic Country Shepparton lad so no Melbourne home base and surely has ties to Rachele, great size and super quick with midfield potential, we’ve got money to spend and appear happy to use draft capital to get what we need now.

I said this at the start of the year.. can you rely on McAdam to play consistent football when it matters?
He's never put a good season by afl standards together, and appears to either be suspended, injured, or not fit most of the time.
His return form to Sanfl has been nowhere near enough to be close to selection. So he's fringe at best.

That's without the times I've seen him at the football sinking a few.

Last opportunity to trade him for something I think, I like him as a player but is injured a lot and doesn’t always play to many games a year and like Doedee, Worrell has his position covered.
Doedee and MacAdam can be replaced and we have more important needs on our list like running half back and another midfielder
