I'd do it.

High risk, high reward and tbh we are more of a chance of luring someone like Tarryn than an LDU.

He's the more realistic target.

Am seriously disappointed we couldn’t land Redman for free, but am keen on Stephens with what is currently available.

Stick him on a wing with the potential to move into the midfield, Cook on the other wing, and give Jones another crack in the guts while rotating through the wing as well.

The former. He hasn't made the grade at the Swans. We should be only trading in to get significant improvement to the side, as we have done the past two years. I fear he would be another Hately situation, and probably cost more.

Yep exactly , need to target certain clubs

Gold Coast is one because they’ve got 4-5 academy kids they’d want to draft to help with retention, so might need to trade out some ( and because they’re good players )

We need to start getting creative this trade period. I don’t know a lot about the inner workings of the draft but it’s obvious we should be dealing with Gold Coast this year, how many academy players do they have to bring in? I assume they will be trading out of the first round so bundle up our 2nd round picks for their first pick. Trade ROB for a 2nd rounder he’s expendable, playing Strachan in his place won’t make us any worse off, trade in a new back up ruck, use the first rounders to draft best midfielders available. Or we use our 2nd rounders to bring in Flanders and Hollands, draft best available midfielder with our first rounder.
