What’s happens if Strauny decides he is sick of being stuck behind ROB and looks elsewhere? We would be in a world of hurt
No we would not.

Collingwood currently sit top after choosing to get rid of an AA ruck and have run with Cox as their ruck at times.

Port sit 3rd and have run with four different rucks this season.

Geelong have rarely given a second thought to their ruck.

A quality ruck can add a lot to a side but is far from a necessity. We could pluck any 200cm+ player from the state leagues in the MSD if need be and it would probably be fine.

There's always a back up ruckman on the scrap heap, we'd just pick one of them the same period.

It's not a thought to him because we haven't leaked our intentions one way or the other to him.
I wonder if our trading around Rankine was mutually beneficial.
Gold Coast might appreciate us as trading partners. Who knows?

You would hope a Jones and Hinge to the wings leaves no place for Sloane
I know your comment has an element of tongue in cheek to it....but there isn't actually a spot in our 2024 team for Sloane. Especially if Crouch is back in the 22.

Hamish should have been given the boot for the 2018 and 2019 drafts. Back-to-back wasted years for a club about to enter a deep rebuild.
What? We entered the season as one of the premiership favourite in 2018 but got hit with injuries and then entered the 2019 season again as one of the premiership favourite and then fall out from the CM happened. If this didn't occurred then we would have still be contenders for another few years, instead we correctly did a very big list rebuild and the entire coach group got changed. Talk about harry hindsight lol.

CM happened in 2019?

Interesting

The fall out from the review, I meant. Thanks for correcting me (have edited my post, FAITH wouldn't have made that misunderstanding like me) :)
Doh, we didn’t enter the season after the review as premiership favourite, basic football knowledge.

Better to acknowledge you made a mistake rather than dig a bigger hole for yourself

Read my edited post and then you will finally get what I meant. I said the "fall out from the CM happened" and we now know there was a big divide between the coach and playing group after the CM review.

I like Doedee - I hope he stays (at a reasonable price).
Signing him for lower money benefits our overall salary cap going forward. If we have saved potentially 500k over 3 years for example on what we were initially prepared to spend, it allows us be more flexible with upping other contracts to retain players or to go after what we need trade wise.
