Any players you want from Essendon or Adelaide to get them more currency to buy Oliver?
I liked Nick Cox in his draft year and debut season. Looked electric and a nightmare to match up against. But he has turned into a spud post-injury. Not sure what is going on with him. The Bombers took him at pick #8 in 2020.

For those long term members keeping notes that's the first of my three compulsory Benjamin Bucovaz references each decade.

Non freo note but still trade related.

Melbourne have known for a while Petty is homesick. Could be this year, maybe next, but it's extremely likely he'll go home.

Some decent players are leaving Melbourne now and their depth isn't as good as people think it is

So why aren't Adelaide copping flack for letting Doedee walk? Their backline is rubbish and he's a proven good player in an average team

They've just let him walk, even though he wanted to stay.

Yet crickets in the media......

They don't think his knee is up to regular AFL footy and deep down the media believe them.

Where does Doedee fit in that side though? Payne only missed due to injury, he'll be back next year. Andrews, Wilmot. Gardner is already the back up and played well in the finals.

One of those you'd think would be heading out.

That's a curious case you have there.

Probably thought they could get their hands on Cox.

Melbourne had a lot of players wanting out last year too. Had Jackson, Bedford, Hunt, Wedieman leave last year. Harmes and Tomlinson wanted out but were kept at the club. Spargo wants out but is contracted for next year and "is a required player" by Melbourne. James Jordon leaving too. Now Petty and Oliver.

But his age is 30 now, the age he gets put into the AFL's hidden table to figure out a compo if he leaves. His age next year 2 weeks into isn't relevant.

Why don't you want to discuss the awesome trades we've done though?
List them :)

I'll start with 3

O'Rielly - Geelong
Farmer - Melbourne
Modra - Adelaide

They have Lester (underrated player) who will be 32 next year. Adams has retired. And maybe they have plans to move Wilmot into the midfield.

Naughton set to sign on.
..with Freo! Surprise!
