I don't see how he couldn't have been any more involved with their poor fortunes to be honest?
How? I'm not referring to his list management as a whole but rather his tactics in dealing with clubs. All the negativity seems to be directed at his hard-line stance. However, I see the club as a whole putting people off well before trading decisions even get to the Dodoro stage. We've dealt with him when we have had to. All this animosity for Dodoro seems to only grow whenever the thought comes up of players potentially leaving our club for pitance. It screams of magical thinking.

Paddy Dow seems destined to find his way to St Kilda as the Blues’ late-season charge gives them trade collateral to get back into the national draft for the second straight year.
Carlton expects Dow to find his way to St Kilda and Zac Fisher to play at Arden Street next year, with both players out of the side but having benefited from recent surges in form.

The Blues have given away their second and third-round picks, having secured Ollie Hollands, Lachie Cowan, VFL Team of the Year member Jaxon Binns and Harry Lemmey in the draft last year as well as summer rookie Alex Cincotta.
Carlton will expect reasonable compensation from the Roos for Fisher given he has two years to run and could secure a five-year deal.

Not sure how Hollands is worth more than Fisher or Dow?

Younger, higher upside, plays in a more in demand role Mid-Forward.

Midfielders and outside distributors are not in high demand.

Note, tongue in cheek. SOS picked Dow at 3. Surely he wouldn't low-ball to get Dow to SK. That would mean he picked wrong.... First round pick please...
Seriously, however, currently SK has 12, 31, 50, 86. Wouldn't 31 be more reasonable?
And I also think if Dow was to go to SK, both sides would want reasonable trade does right thing by Dow.

This makes me really sad.

In one sense I'm sad. But in another our list is now at the point where we will see players going to other clubs we may not wish to see. I just want fair value for CFC, and best outcome for the players.

SOS handing over #31 for Dow, when he's also got #50 up his sleeve??
Not likely.

Hollands is playing VFL in a team in the bottom 8, value is very similar to Dow & Fisher based on output.

Hollands is not worth a 2nd round pick, most likely in the 30's.

North have offered Fisher a decent contract more likely the pick received would be of Similar value to Hollands.

Sure, but he hasn't shown anything that would make you confident of him reaching his pre-draft potential. Seems to have struggled at VFL level too.
Agree, I have no interest in him for us. He didn’t even play in his top age season of u18’s and the year before his output wasn’t amazing. Since then he has done next to nothing in three years at AFL level. So in four years he has done stuff all and isn’t coming on minimum wage. He will be getting paid a handy amount like all top picks do when they sign an early extension.
In saying that, if I had the choice of those 3 on our list I’d take Hollands simply because he could potentially be way more important to us then those other guys. I think most teams would also see it that way.

Most of the 30s are still second round, a pick in the 30s is a good deal I think

Article doing the rounds yesterday suggesting GC will need to offer a pick to get Chol off the books.

I was spewing we weren’t in a position to get the puck with Bowes and Chol makes zero sense for us but geez, imagine having to give up picks again because of a list management blunder.

Chol with a deal reported close to $500,000 with 3 years to go

I hate to be pedantic but I would suspect Dodoro's tactics have negligible influence on *'s poor fortunes.
That's almost the most bizarre thing that I've ever heard from a poster that has for years been criticising our list management team.

I mean you really think that* wouldn't be better if Dunkley was playing for them (Dogs baulked at Dodo's hard deal) or if they had have taken the original Daniher deal (pick 9 and a future 1st) a year before the lesser deal they had to take (free agency pick 7) to name but 2.

You havent been writing songs for OMC have you?

Not me, I'd rather keep Dow than trade for Hollands unless we get a decent pick for the former and pay pittance for the latter.

Personally I wouldn’t take any because I think they will all be getting paid decent enough money and require decent contract length. (2 more years of Fisher is too long)

Less about list management blunders that having to pay over inflated salaries to keep average footballers from walking out the door. North will start to feel this soon and happens at all the 5h1t clubs

Hope we are not making a mistake by unloading some pace with Dow and Fisher going. The season is a marathon, you won't make it to the end playing slow bash and crash physical footy. Easy wins where you run rings around teams as we did in our streak means we get home playing a less physically taxing game. I'm not sure we haven't made mistakes with team selection by leaving quicker ball carrying players like Dow and Fisher out.

I really hope Voss does not become this generation's Ross Lyon. Become obsessed about defence, physicality, big bodies etc and take away too much run and carray and offence. This is what I have seen in our first two finals. Which we won more on luck than out playing the opposition.

I think we have the players to become on of the best offensive teams in the game, we have shown in our selection that we are gearing towards defensiveness. Hope we aren't making a mistake.

Would prefer to keep Dow and Fisher. Experiment a little with pace and rebound over height and size. Experiment a little with Dow in the side with Walsh, Cerra, Cripps and Hewett/Kennedy.

I just hope we don't become too focused on contested ball and big bodies and neglect run, creativity and attack because this is what I have seen this finals series and haven't liked it. Maybe it beats Brisbane. But we were damn lucky we beat Sydney and Melbourne with a huge lack of run and carry. The kind of run and carry that beat top 4 sides in the h&a season and turned our season around and got us into finals.

Just got a lot of doubts that losing Dow and Fisher is a good thing. Even about having them out of the 23 in finals.
