Imagine the melts if Piggy goes 150+ in round one.

The Simpsons Gesture GIF

Yes, Adelaide and Port usually play there but this year Melbourne are playing Essendon there during Gather Round.

And Essendon look like being a bit s**t this season, so Piggy is a good chance to feast.

Pretty obvious really, but happy to walk you through it :thumbsu:
His career average against Essendon is one of the lowest. Walk yourself through it 😎

The Melbourne CBA news has been known for a while now, all PS they’ve talked about running more guys through there. I understand Clarry will still be the #1 guy for CBA’s and will have an extensive amount of time around the footy, and I’m not questioning the pick, it’s purely from a price stand point. For 700k you wanna be absolutely sure he’s taking 80% CBA’s and going ham with CP’s and hard ball gets etc, however a slight reduction to accomodate others tells me there could be a small drop in output (say it’s 127 to 120) which means he may be cheaper at some point and other guys provide better value for money. That’s the crux of it really.

For that reason I’m more willing to go with Laird and save some money on potentially a guy who starts fast in Choccy or Macrae for 65k cheaper.

Good list, however, I'd move Melbourne down to maybe. Harmes tends to tag 2-3 times a season, not really a regular thing (unless that's the idea behind giving him more mid time).

Yep great call mate
He’s very similar to hewett
Probably drew in the same mould
Defensive minded mids who occasionally do the cooling stuff when a mid rarely gets off the chain!

Did LDU cop any attention last year? Keen on him, but I see he has both St Kilda & Hawthorn in the first 7 rounds, to my eye they look the two sides who will go with hard tags regularly this year.

Hard to see him not being tagged at north this year. He’s their best mid now

Cunnington and Simpkin will do their own thing as they aren’t as flashy or damaging as ldu.

Not sure how will go though as it hasn’t really happened in his career yet. Small flag id wait for him as an upgrade personally this year

I think Will Brodie is an interesting one. He had such low TOG last year and still went 102. Or does Omeara kill any potential he had?

Will JOM even get on the field?
Ankle scare at training this week.

Seriously thinking of going Laird > Miller. Even missing two PS games, Ben King gives him something to kick to so shoudl at least maintain hsi scoring from last year.
Extra cash Completely fixes my bench options which aren't great, and I suspect you'll need both by the end of the season anyway so will still bring Laird in if/when he drops in value a bit.

Will Brodie
Christian Petracca
Andrew Brayshaw
Touk Miller
Callum Mills

Midfield jets we aren't seeing in many teams. Everyone's midfield looking the same this year. It's lame. I have Andy.

Mills will be thrown around the ground again, so not worth paying that much for him

Trac is gonna play a bit forward, better off waiting for DPP

Brodie would be a super POD but less enticing without FWD status.

Touk has not had any game time and will drop in price for sure

Bray is probably the best pick of the five to start with.

I have touk but I've played with taking him out for Jelly, side looks much better with the money spent elsewhere.

Just a little worried about his lack of game time, but he's a jet and he shouldn't have any issues.

I had mills as well, but gulden looking likely to play more mid and the other mids coming through, he's priced at his highest he'll be, I can see him dropping a significant amount.
