madden is being picked due to a lot of late games - therefore you wouldn't be using VC on Jelly if he is mainly playing late games

Essendon have a reasonably easy draw to start the season but a shocking run when it comes to taggers. Finn M, Winghager and Perryman all in the first 4 rounds. One of Merrett or Parish will probably be cheap early on.

To be fair, the reason is that Parish for his price tag should be a certain 110 but with all of Merrett, Shiel and Parish fit, Darcy is no certainty to be able to average that.

At his best he could be in the top 10 mids in the game but just as easily be in the 10 - 25 mids.

50:50 he becomes an elite SC relevant player

He was a little underwhelming in the praccy match and a lot jumped off.

Personally I m backing him in. This time last year he was a 'must have' . He's a tackling beast, champion data love him, and he s basically Saints only gun mid.

I still think he is a good bet at a bit of a discount price.
