Bulldogs fans, what the **** is wrong with Macrae.

Is Bevo still being a campaigner even though he doesn't need to squeeze dunks in anymore?

Not me not a keeper lol
100 average at M8 is fine as a "keeper". If you are fortunate, you can luxury upgrade him down the track.

Nothing to suggest that he can't keep this scoring up and go big.

25 years old. Big build. Role. Won't be tagged.

People said the same things on this board about Taranto in the preseason of 2021. Post Bye everyone was trying to get rid of him because he was only averaging 100ish. I reckon you need more than 100 avg from an M8 late. Quite possible he avgs more and still ticks the box tho.

Yeah you want to be able to trade him out, but typically we have other issues to worry about. Those who have been fortunate and are having a good season, will be able to luxury upgrade him down the track.

But if it came to 1 - LDU.

Has had this run of form since mid last year. Not a flash in the pan 2 round performance, last 13 career games averaging 119
Problem is I remember the 80's & UDL was a poor return for your bang for buck.

Do you even need to trade in LDU or Setterfield? Can’t have everyone, your midfield didn’t miss this week - Neale slightly down yes but can’t imagine LDU knocks him out of the ballpark on season average.
I think Dunkley has stolen points from Neale. He doesn’t look the same. LDU averaged 113 after the Bye’s last year. Even if he repeats that it’s worth 557k. Has a good run.

I did some digging into Setters

He got a midfield role in rounds 22 and 23 of last year...

rd22:
26 touches, 98 SC pts, 78% TOG, 79% CBAs

rd23:
24 touches, 87 SC pts, 72% TOG, 56% CBAs

Looking at 2023...

preseason:
25 touches, 119 SC pts, 87% TOG, ~50% CBAs

rd1:
25 touches, 99 SC pts, 77% TOG, 74% CBAs

rd2:
28 touches, 147 SC pts, 83% TOG, 90% CBAs

Obviously the role is great, and he's a great age (just turned 25), but it looks like he's gotten much fitter. Gotta have the tank to play on-ball, especially as that high CPs, high tackles player

Teams will tag Parish and Zerrett, even Shiel, before they look at Setterfield

M8 keeper for $350k, yas thanks
All you guys have now convinced me to bring in ****ing Setterfield for Callaghan, SETTERFIELD. Only problem could be that report of his iced up quad post game.

Have you seen how many players have ice-packs on after games .....now, if Setterfield had come off the ground late in the last qtr & also had an ice-pack ....then I'd be worried

Anyone worried that Hopper might be more than a week and considering trading him out? Setterfield just staring at me as sideways.

Don't really want to do it but mid rookies so bad haven't got much to fill in for him well gone (my bench is Davey, Cheeser and McVee)

Macrae to Full forward so you can get Weeman into the midfield has to be Bevo s dumbest move ever ( and there is some stifff competition for his dumbest move)
Bevo just Bevoing us Macrae owners, round 1 all was good, Macrae just buthcered the ball and cost himself a 120+. Last week Bevo cost him a 120+ with role change. Such a campaigner. Was a line ball call between Macrae and Bont, ominous signs early.

Not a problem in the back half of last year - averaged 113 and only had 3 games under 100, 1 of which was 95. Would say he was excellent bang for your buck.

Picking the 2nd half of season breakout player can often be as important as picking one for the year. I’m

He's lost a yard, looks slow and has limited desire to tackle.

That said he'd still punch out 105 this yr if Bevo didnt sit him on the HFF for half the game.

Maybe the first sentence triggered the second but the only position he can play effectively is inside mid. Priority trade out imo

Why am I doing this at midnight?

Oh that's right, it's a pre-season obsession, and iT's NEarLy Oeeevaaarrrrghrghrr

Late changes (Yeo out forced some changes)
OUT Yeo - IN Stewart
OUT Oliver - IN Jelly
OUT Green - IN JDG

Yes I am insane. But if JDG can match Green, I'm on a winner!
Jelly hopefully gets a proper chance, and taking a chance losing Olliepig due to the halfback chat. How is Clarry's hand?
Gives me the funds for any DEF I want, to join Doc and the GOAT.

Got the obligatory rooks. Like the look of Hollands, but just can't squeeze him in. DPP for both lines helps.

Didn’t see JDG’s role v Port. Was he pure mid or back to the 60/40 hybrid role. Lotta tackles but the 12 disp is a worry given the the 25 against Cats. Was there anything up with him?
