I'm thinking 6-7 if I can find the room. I want minimal rookies on field this year. Guns and rookies is dead. Imo.
Yeh that's my plan too. Midprice madness ftw

Hunter Clarke is an interesting one. Keen on seeing if RTB gives him a good role in the practise match.

GnRs was dead for me previously, but with 35 trades - how can it thrive?

BTW are all the 2923 SC rules locked in as yet? e.g. 35 trades?

Plenty of talent but need to see him under Clarko. If i dont start him and he looks decent first 2 rounds then id have to jump on.
He doesn't seem to have the most stable off field life going on. Reports of cyber bullying an X. Idk how that translates to on field performances. But the least he could do is stop sharing everything publically.

Tarryn Thomas is absolutely boom or bust IMO. At 295k, unless you spend up so he is F4 or below, he is probably not a smart selection. I hate the premium forward options and am thus planning to have both Fyfe and Allen which is enough risk for my forwardline. Ideally he is F5 given the risk he presents. So yes, his price looks appealing but there are many factors to consider including his mental well being/application/work ethic etc. He has potential to go at 95 i reckon but that is only if the stars absolutely align. Another 50k+ cheaper and id take him but at 295k, unless you build a strong forwardline around him, the odds are probably against you.

That pretty much sums it up

It's your risk tolerance as to how many midpricers you have in your starting team.

There's a good balance somewhere - I'm yet to find it though. Especially when I start with many midpricers and then these temptress lure me even more via trading :straining:

cunners. he can average 100. so he would qualify as a good choice. yes.

fyfe. 85 average? dont see why not. worth the risk. yes.

hopper obviously yes.

yeo if fit. im sure he can average 85. id take the punt. yes.

sheed really hasnt averaged a solid 95+ so cant see him returning to a 90avg. so ill pass. no.

tarryn thomas. can definitely average 90 if all his stars aligned. which i dont see as the case. trade in target for me. no.

bowes. would be pushing to hit the 150k target. without seeing his spot cemented in the team. wouldnt be able to trust his spot at this stage. pass. can trade in if he sets the world on fire. no.

oscar allen seems like a safe pick. but really dont see him averaging 70. if hew having a ripper preseason and with enough good reviews might give him a look. could also be a great trade in option depending on breakeven. pass for now. no.

coffield should make his 150k pretty easily id assume. so would goater if his one amazing game of 20 touches is anything to go by. jones potentially too.

the table makes for some interesting thoughts.

Still needs some work, the stupidity is promising though.

Maybe we need a 'nutso' thread ?

Found this intellectual thread last night and am going to park myself here.
While I lean towards MPM, I'm not sure this describes the crap I'll probably start with.

Great to know those numbers, thanks for sharing that here.
Only thing I'll add are those big outlier scores, those big individual matches, that stay in that players rolling 3 week average affecting their BE's.

So someone like Fyfe might only average 90 and make $150k, but if he has an outlier 130+ on the way there he could skyrocket in price. Especially if he can back it up with another ton.

In summary, those guys who can post huge scores can also have wildly fluctuating value - so pick those MP guys that can go LARGE!
