What are The Experts thoughts on WC Clark.
Different view point from another Hawks supporter:Lock him in.
Completely transformed his body and most Hawks players have mentioned him as one of the players to watch this season based on his pre-season form.
I don't know what to expect him from scoring wise though. In 2019 our midfield was limited to Shiels, O'Meara and Worpel as the main 3. He benefited from the lack of competition.
We'll have far more players rolling through there on a regular basis this season. I expect him to play every week but may only be good for 15-20 touches and scores around 65-70.
Time for a revisit and see who we can add here
Locked: Hopper, McLean
Possibles: HClark, Green, Warner, Titch, LDU, Cameron, Bowes, Coffield, Sheed, Salem, Worpel, CMac
Injury prone: Yeo, Allen, Cunnington, Milera, TThomas and Fyfe?
That’s about it right - have I missed anyone?
Cunners has low durability?A crack at:
predicted average / durability / job security
I’ve done it quickly so I’m guessing the durability ratings could be tweaked.
Hopper
95 / med / high
Fyfe
100 / v low / v high
JHF
85 / med / high
Cunnington
90 / low / v high
Worpel
85 / med / med-high
Sheed
90 / med / high
Yeo
100 / low / v high
Bowes
80 / med / low-med
Salem
85 / low / high
Hunt
75 / high / high
Haynes
80 / med / high
Cunners has low durability?
He's had one season ruined by a football injury in the past decade?

I’d rather Jai Culley than either.Would rather JHF to Worpel. Much bigger upside and has FWD eligibility. If he's playing mostly midfield, he's almost a lock.
Worpel is an average footballer at best, and has too many young studs looking to replace him.
I’d rather Jai Culley than either.
Look at the WC forum’s best 22 predictions and the assessments of their preseason training session.
Then ask yourself whether 276k for aprimaryonballer with no discernibleinjuryhistory sounds like a good offer.
Fair enough.
Worpel is $309k. Hawthorn supporters have spent the past five pages discussing whether Worpel should even be considered best 22. What is he - their 5th best midfielder? Their sixth? How does he earn $150k more?
JHF is $348k. Port have Wines, Rozee, Butters and Boak ahead of JHF for CBAs. You're essentially betting that he'll become a 500k player in a timely fashion, because he sure as hell won't be a top 6 fwd this season playing mostly as a HFF. How does he do it so far down the midfield pecking order?
Culley is $276k and over the past few weeks, more than half of WC supporters are putting him in the opening mid rotation in their best 22 thread.
The Age described JC's preseason thus: "track watchers say last year’s mid-season draftee Jai Culley has been a stand-out through the summer in a bid to secure a midfield berth."
At his price, he doesn't even have to average 85 for a few games before he's made the magic $150k. The guys first ever game, without a preseason, was 90.
He's not a lock in my team, but he's looking very promising.

Don't get me wrong, JHF will be a gun SC player if he knuckles down for another preseason or two without injury.Connor Rozee said the other day that JHF is playing predominately midfield, while Rozee himself was set to play his usual mix.
Culley's price is just too awkward for a 4 gamer without the pedigree of JHF.
Personally I'd rather any guy that's playing and is priced around $123k, but JHF's over the go-home factor now, and is playing in a position that made him a star in the juniors. He's the one to watch.
Cunners only issue is his nickname.I wouldn't call being out with testicular cancer "injury prone"
This bloke is dead wrong, Culley will 100% be a top 5 mid rotation at the eagles.A majority (or very vocal minority) on that board would also have Gaff play WAFL and Sheed studding boots. Doesn’t make them right.
Culley has great potential, sure. Look deeper into his scores and you’ll see he didn’t find the pill in those games, lots of tackling which the coaching staff and teammates will quickly teach out of him.
Strike three is that the kid has a penchant for elbowing blokes in the jaw.
Can’t wait to watch him this year as a supporter, but he won’t make you the cash you’re thinking he will. Pass.
As a matter of strategy, i think im going to plan on using 3 trade boosts in succession between rounds 3 and 5. 9 trades down but i should have made a lot of $ on my mid-pricers - of which i have plenty - or i will have jumped on the best mid-pricers after the first 2 rounds.
Currently i have:
Yeo/Bowes/Coffield
Hopper/Culley
Draper
Gunston/Fyfe/Windhager
My philosophy will not be 'wait for them to max out and then trade or keep based on average' and instead will be 'how can i best utilise the value of my mid-pricers on a weekly basis in order to improve my team scoring wise'
I guess im looking at being bold this season and thus ive reduced the number of rookies ive selected. The sub rule partly comes into that decision as well.
Geez 6.03 for 2km ain’t too shabby. This bloke is dead wrong, Culley will 100% be a top 5 mid rotation at the eagles.
He came top 3 in our time trial and Yo-Yo and is a contested beast.
I’d expect a similar year to Newcombe this year.
I think you’ve missed my point. I’m very excited to see him out there but being the 5th midfielder (as you say) at best, I don’t see him averaging better than 70 (at best) making his cash gen limited given his starting price. It would be great to see him maintain his insane tackling numbers from his first two games, but as his subsequent games showed, that’s not a given. This bloke is dead wrong, Culley will 100% be a top 5 mid rotation at the eagles.

Sheeds a bustI've got Sheed and Yeo and after reading this thread I now have the urge to pick Culley. I can't have all 3 and Sheed isn't leaving my team...
would be willing to bet anything he averages more, we have no one else (maybe Yeo) that can impose themselves at the coalface.I think you’ve missed my point.
