Ridley an ear perker
Ridley could be SC Gold, just depends on what role he's being allowed to play.
If Essendon keep picking a backline of short people and Ridley has to play as a genuine tall, he'll keep disappointing (SC wise at least).
I'd love to see him be allowed to just roam around a la Grant Birchall from back in the day. Dude would ton up every week doing that

Damn I’m going to have to start Finn Callaghan aren’t I …

Already have a spot vacant for either him or Erasmus alongside Culley & Ashcroft. I think taking those high end midfield rookies/cows could actually pay off this season.

EDIT: Not just in the midfield either. Windhager/Flanders are fighting for a spot in my forwardline, as are Fyfe/Perkins. Bowes/Coffield in defence (although i may select both) too. Im trying to stay away from real rookies (1st year players) if i can. I prefer going for players that have at least some experience as i reckon they are slightly less likely to be subs and bust. Obviously i still have some true rookies but where i can, im going for the players with a bit of experience.

I’m getting both!

Easily sucked in by preseason hype :straining:

Another word on Milera and he’s in my team

If Callaghan smashes it then I will shrug my shoulders and accept it. Obese Arachnid has had this kent in his squad since the start.

If Tom Green smashes it then I will rub my hands together Montgomery Burns style

Callaghan is very expensive though ....IIRC he's all class, but not a high possession getter in juniors

Yeah, I have a feeling he ends up being SC royalty - hopefully not in 2023 though coz I will be missing the kent
You can see Bont / Cripps in his play ....bloody big midfielder ....but totally agree with you

Priced at 44, anything over 75 is a win. If he's given the role/opportunity that should be quite possible. He's OOC this year too, you'd think they will give him games in the hope he re-signs.

I'm not sure GWS are going to be as bad as predicted this year, they still have a lot of good players. Just depends on whether the new coach can get them going.

He’s a SC succubus, mate.
Draft your arse off with the bloke, scratch the itch, but he completely ruptured his adductor in his return game and he’s had plenty of that gear over the journey.
Sounds like Yeo and Fyfe.

I;m not currently a buyer, but just using him as a comparison for a mid 400's 80 avge that can go 105-110 if fit.
He's still only 29-30. Had a full(ish) season in 2020 and went 110.
Missed less games than many seem to think. Seen far worse injury plagued guys being talked up....and plenty on their field that are not even regulars in their teams.
All guys that are very well priced come with an element of risk. Need to embrace that risk and chase it whenever looking for value....rather than pretending you can find great value with no risk.
For the price he's the type of soft risk that has often paid off in spades over previous years.

Give them all a miss. Fool's gold

But i dont mind a bit of fools gold...vive la difference !!

For those thinking a guy like Adams is somehow injury prone....do you have Taranto ?

Here's a guy that is 50-100K more in price, and has played 11,22,16 games the last 3 yrs, for 84,97,84. He changes teams and suddenly they want him.

It can be a group think thing in here....far better to just do your own thing.

Having said that...now people probably think i;m pushing Adams. I dont even want the guy.
