It's funny, I've always been an MPM guy, and it traditionally got me a rank between 20 and 30K. Last year it finally paid off. This year every kent's jumping on board and I find myself steering towards G'n'R, or an adaptation of it anyway. I don't have a bloke priced between Coffield at 208K and Cunners at 419K. It's gonna be a very interesting season

Not even Hopper?

He seems a pretty safe bet to get above $500k

Disagree. Classy player should find plenty of the ball and uses it well. He's the pick of the bunch for mine.
Check out 2021

Got a heap of the footy

Average of 82 odd

He's a bust

And not a good bust

Yeah, when I booted him that was the point when I realised that my very identity as an SC coach had changed.

Speculative midpricers used to be my spirit animal.

Now it appears to be cut-price keepers lol
MPM makes my skin crawl, but even I'm starting Hopper.

You couldn't miss with the mid-pricers last year really, seemed like nearly all of them paid off. It's not usually like that though. I wonder if everyone over corrects this year and most of them miss. I guess we have so many trades now it won't really matter, if Yeo and Fyfe both go down injured you just one up one down them and move on.

True. I guess it will be the ones that score poorly or inconsistently that do more damage than the ones that get injured, maybe.

I'm not saying Hopper's a bad pick at all. I'm just not feeling it for some reason. I want my mids to be either more guaranteed to score like premiums, or more likely to make bulk cash. Which is the age old argument against midpricers that I never listened to lol

Yeah agreed. This is why I'm prepared to risk a few of the underpriced premo's this year. Much happier to trade a Rozee or Young if they are underperforming than a Stewart or Miller. It's a double loss too, no will trade Hayden Young in if he drops $50k, but everyone will jump on Touk so you've held him through his bad scores, only to have him at 40% when he comes right.

That's mainly why I don't want to start Titch, because he has the scoring history I'd wait all season for him to get going.

i hear ya. im playing with rowbottom instead of hopper. more likely of constant tons id think.

Well I picked Jarrod Berry last year, and he absolutely tanked for me, and I trade him out and he drops two tons in a row lol

I mentioned this in the Fantasy board but Jack Ziebell mentioned today he’s moving back to defence this season. His scoring was best down there so despite being FWD only I think he’s worth a shot.

Ridley an ear perker
Stop it right there mister.

You know the Dons suck us in every year. Everyone is a star and every draftee a future brownlow medallist.
Parish, Merrett and the odd mature age recruit i can accept, but the rest of the furniture will definitely need to prove themselves first.

Ask Bollox about Rowbottom
You rang ??

He's ok. Shithouse kick though, and CAN panic with ball in hand sometimes.
Getting better though....damn well hope so as a 5th yr player.

I'd rather risk a few dollars on Errol hitting a 100-105 avg this year with mid minutes...but his price is difficult.

Rowbottom will get plenty of it, but i have a feeling he'll always be more of a DT guy than SC.

If i see Taylor Adams is fit and in decent pre season form, i think he'd be better value at the pricepoint. No idea whats happening with him.

Agree with the Rowbottom take.
Adams is too injury prone. I would pick him in a heartbeat otherwise

awesome tackler which equals supercoach points.. his numbers i posted in the midfielders thread are hard to ignore.

id 100% back this but im too racist.

again.. his scores say otherwise.

TayTay is super fit right now, and having a great pre-season.
But if you need 23 games, stay away. He's not played a full season in 6 years.

All fair points.
Perhaps i dont see much natural talent. He's a worker ant. Gets to the contest and yepp tends to score via tackles, but whenever i see it in his hands i tend to lose faith anything good will happen. They can't all be champions, like at say Pies or Dons :p:p:p

Errol though....that boy can play, and has the DPP. If i see him more in the middle and scoring 100-110's early on, i'll have far more faith it will continue and happily hop onboard. Those mid $400K guys are just damn hard to start with....need to be really sure you want them. If you have faith in Rowbum just grab him.

:oops: Super fit and firing u say.
Hmmm. Risky biznuss but he's at least got some value at the price. Can go 105-110.

I just need maybe 10 weeks from him and get to 700K and switch out for Laird :moustache::moustache: Sound possible ?

He’s a SC succubus, mate.
Draft your arse off with the bloke, scratch the itch, but he completely ruptured his adductor in his return game and he’s had plenty of that gear over the journey.

Alright, campaigners, that’s enough non-contributory contributions for one day.
If it makes anyone feel any better, big giraffe Draper made his way into my team today for a few minutes and it’s only a matter of time till Wayne Milera makes a cameo. **** me drunk.

If he is going to return to kick-in duties he certainly is.
I'd love to know what percentage of his scores came directly from that
