all jokes aside we will still be getting Reid! iv heard from reliable Sauces that we were going up for him before WC won! and WC simply cant trade with anyone else if thet want the meat Curtains
My conspiracy theory reckons we get an end of first we have to trade, and it'll be involved in Reid. Gives both north and WC compo they need

I went to the CTL double header today and a number of people I spoke to the consensus was we need a KPD before we go for a small fwd. I tend to agree. The Wiz is good but getting Reid and O’Sullivan or maybe even KPF in Caddy are better for us imo.
Also interesting comments from Clarkos presser regarding the #1 pick.

What were comments from Clarko mate?

If Reid is adamant on not going to the eagles I’m assuming they will be after Curtin? Is there the possibility they take Curtin at 1? Who would they be looking to trade with? Is the reality that Reid will either be going to eagles or north or is there an alternative?

That only 3 No1 picks have every played in a winning grandfinal, not his exact words, but he suggested we would be better off with later picks 4,5 or 6.
I have no doubt Clarko would prefer to win as would i but i can guarantee he would also love Ried at North and more than likely it will still happen.

100%. I would not be surprised if a deal had already been done if us or wce finished last. We will get pick 1 & Reid. WCE will get Curtin.

Not really ..If they trade out pick #1 to another club other than us then we will take Curtin...

2016 draft
73 North Melbourne: Nick Larkey

I for one am ecstatic we finally got a win and avoided the ignominy of a third straight wooden spoon. I'm certain this will have absolutely no negative bearing on our draft position in the coming offseason.

West Coast are still a chance to win later tonight especially playing at home and with Hurn and Shuey back in.

Only rumors (seen on BF) but Melbourne trading for pick 1 to get Reid. Not sure what Melbourne would have to offer to WC to get pick 1; multiple picks, player(s), and is WC willing to risk not getting Curtin (sp)?

Isn't Curtin a consensus top 4 player. Melbourne can offer Pick 5, which is a real gamble if West Coast want Curtin.

I assume they would need to get GC involved at a minimum, so West coast can get Pick 4, although there's nothing they can give GC to facilitate that.

I can’t see WC wanting to trade 1 for 6 and Dees first and future first when they’ll be 16 to 20 picks are academy, FS picks and compo picks.

Sorry been overseas and not online for a bit…any vids or intel on Curtin…?

I suppose it will all depend on how much they want Curtin. I’d say most likely if Reid isn’t at west coast next year then he’s probably at north . Our pick 2 and ports first for pick 1 and eagles second rounder

Assuming they lose tonight, WC will presumably have Reid and Curtain as their top two picks.

If they want to be guaranteed the local lad, then they've only got one choice - use 1 on him.

It's a great toss to lose for us - and we give them nothing.

I can’t see Curtin getting past us if Reid is off the board.

This club would be negligent to not take that level of talent considering it also fills a gap from a needs basis.
