So, that would seem plausible then.... Titans new ex-Niner GM Ran Carthon to trade for Trey Lance.

Im not sold on this even though it makes sense.

Do you think Vrabel has seen enough of duel threat QBs this year after Willis bombed hard? I suppose it depends on the OC they bring in.

Lance and Willis QB room makes sense from a schematic sense too. Kinda kike Ravens with Jackson-Huntley-Brown.

I get it, but also, sad that old people are meant to shuffle off and leave everything to the young. His ego and cringe aside....if he's playing still very well, why should he stop playing? Good on him for going as long as he did and and longer if he can. But i get it.
Who says he's still playing well? He had a losing record in a dogshit division with arguably one of the best rosters in the league. He threw the ball a billion times this year and only averaged more yards per attempt than 4 foot nothing Kyler Murray and kitten mittens Kenny Pickett. Give it away champ, while your kids might still speak to you.

He's been written off before and bounced back. This year being a wash is understandable given the marriage breakdown and divorce, late to camp, movie and other projects side-tracking him, plus issues with Leftwich. Brady can certainly bounce back, renewed singular focus on football

If they just give the job to Purdy without him having to compete in camp for the job I am likely done with being a 49ers fan since it’s basically just replacing jimmy g with another qb with same problem lack of arm strength to stretch the field to compete with top qb teams.

Yeah, the only records he broke this year were sad ones like most pass attempts. Desperate to try and add to his passing yards total.

He's wasn't 45 heading into any of the other years he was written off. Far better chance that he just isn't very good anymore.

I've learned never to write off Brady. If he returns, he knows himself better, that he can or cannot.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports a "trade is a very real scenario" for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers this offseason.

Rodgers and the Packers are both "fully aware a trade is a real possibility," according to Schefter, with Rodgers potentially forcing his way out of Green Bay a year after signing a three-year, $150 million extension. Trading Rodgers won't be easy given his massive cap hits the next two seasons but there will be a market for Rodgers if he decides to return for another year. The Titans, Jets, and Raiders would all be fits as landing spots for Rodgers. Moving on from Rodgers would give the Packers a chance to see what they have in Jordan Love in the final year of his rookie deal.

Just can't see it happening with 31 mil cap hit for this season and 99 mil dead cap hit in 2023 if they want to trade him be in 24 when its gets down to a 24 mil cap hit.

Depends how they view their roster. If they dont think they are championship contenders then taking the dead cap hit and getting a look at Love for a season has some merit.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Bengals plan to extend QB Joe Burrow this offseason.

This comes as no surprise with Burrow entering the final year of his rookie deal. The Bengals will exercise Burrow's 2024 option in May before signing him long term before the season. Burrow's extension will make him one of the league's highest paid quarterbacks. The Browns' Deshaun Watson deal and what the Ravens do with Lamar Jackson this offseason will impact how much of Burrow's contract is guaranteed.

The Washington Times believes TE Logan Thomas could be released this offseason.

A calf injury limited Thomas to 14 games after returning from 2021 ACL surgery. Thomas was an afterthought in ex-OC Scott Turner's offense when healthy, posting a 39/323/1 line with just eight red-zone targets. Thomas has Washington’s 10th-highest cap hit next season at $8.6 million and the Commanders can save $5.2 million from cutting him, putting heat on his roster spot. Washington has John Bates and 2022 fifth-rounder Cole Turner behind Thomas.

They’re still going to want a decent pick for that type of cap hit but with his play season just gone can’t see someone giving it to them.
For me his either playing for packers or retiring.

Jets will end up trading for Carr soon imo. They cant go into next season with one of those OC's they've interviewed. Id expect the quality of candidates to pick up significantly once the Carr trade happens. Perhaps Greg Olson (the old Raiders OC not the TE) to come over to the Jets with him.

I think there is basically a 0% chance he turns his back on + 40 mil. He'll play another year somewhere.
