My concern with Mitchell is less about him and more about the pies game plan not lending itself to players racking up big possesions.

That said some players just rack up the ball no matter what. Brisbane plays pretty direct and Neale still gets 30+ every week.

If he is playing inside mid then that is what he is there to do win the contest inside and get the ball out to the runners it dosen't matter how quick a team plays you need to win the ball when there is a ball up or throw in.

Agreed, but Titch got his big scores with lots of dinky handballs then getting the return. I doubt Collingwood want him doing that too much, they want it moving forward as fast as possible.

Still think he out performs start price though.

I had the same concerns, but then Collingwood were God awful in the contest last year IIRC (may have just been from centre bounce).

Titch provides a POD for the Pies compared to their season last year, so think he will complement their game plan if anything.

I wouldn't bother with Meek unless it's in a scenario similar to the 2nd question and we can see how the saved funds get used.

I have Cameron being of less risk than Grundy at this stage, however PS Games may change that.

I personally don't see it Salem. Falls into the bracket of that 15-20 backline players who average somewhere between 93-98. Sure he is value, but are you going to want to upgrade him? Probably.

I'd probably go Cameron, then Steele and Yeo ATS - does going down to Meek in that scenario give you some funds?

I am also debating over these two players for D2.

Cumming had 13? scores over 90 last season versus Young’s 8. Role changes and a PS watch on both for mine.

Tough one this and I don't know the answer for sure but I can say based on match sims etc I believe Young's kick outs will increase this year so a few of his high 80's and 90's will blow past 100 this year. I also believe we'll use him more this year and Ryan will do more of the straight up defensive roles.

The counter to that is the notion that he may get some defensive attention now he's becoming more dangerous which may well happen.

Cumming for mine, was averaging 105 until HH took over. His average dropped 10 points once HH was the main man with kick outs etc.

Cumming averaged 93 in 2021 and 95 in 2022. I think this is his year to go 103-108 average. Which should place him 5-10 overall.
