Training 2023 Pre-season thread

I don't really care where Cam plays as long as he plays good consistent footy.

The only observation I'd make after last season were that there were occasional times when he was in the middle where he did things no one else in the team would be capable if doing.

Whether he eventually has the tank to do it more often we'll have to wait and see.

Petracca hardly got a Brownlow vote in his first 5 years,in fact he got exactly none in 2019.Cam is 3 years younger,hopefully he can follow that path somewhat

Agree 100% with Lace Out ...if every player achieves their allotted roles, our team comes home as a Grand Final winning team regardless of who is perceived as a star or an average footballer. I'm sure almost every listed player at The Lions would prefer a flag than being labelled a star......being labelled a star is for the media to broadcast to make their job relevant.

When I talked to someone at reception late last year they mentioned Wednesday's might move to morning. Unsure as to how accurate that is, and whether it will affect other days.

When it was Yeronga, people would just turn up and sit where ever they liked to watch training.

I did the same when I went and watched training, albeit there was a club social event on that afternoon.

Unless all access to the ground is closed, I don’t believe they’d stop people sitting and watching training.

I’d say that it is closed as in, we as a club will not disclose when training times will be, but if you just turn up and training is on we won’t turn you away.
They have a little cafe open there now so you can say you are just getting a coffee and then hang around and watch.
