AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
That’s why I’m avoiding Rozee too. I was initially very high on him but soured purely becuase Port are forecast to run through frequent mid rotations, and who knows what Ken might do. I picked Butters last year and too often he was either injured or copped a bump and his scoring dried up. I would rather go with a Cogs or Moore type. Cogs will play pure mid and Moore is one of the few that can rack up the points in a HF roleEveryone has PTSD on Butters though, he fecked us all last year..
He had a great preseason last year too but remember there was a patch where the weekly threads were almost entirely made up of people venting about Butters- always injured or muppeting.
I think we all just can’t go through that again… he’s built like a feather, very easily injured- need someone reliable at $500k +
It’s a fair point on Rozee, but he became a star when added to the midfield and elevates those around him in there. I think Butters will play more wing/HF with JHF coming in but no doubt Rozee will spend some time forward. I think Rozee breaks out this year, 105 avg. That’s why I’m avoiding Rozee too. Rozee will be the number one mid at Port. You think that a club champion, All Australian will have his midfield minutes reduced this year after he turned his career around after moving into the mids? Even Hinkley is not that stupid! That’s why I’m avoiding Rozee too. How much cash? I think a few of your bench rookies are unlikely to play round 1.I'm drawing a line in the sand that this is my last team until pre-matches are all wrapped up.
Thoughts?

Trouble when both go down. Get cover, at least potentially McAndrew from Sydney, or Ratugolea or Darcy Cameron or Luke Jackson. They are all R/F.View attachment 1617486
Another revival of my team after the first week of practice matches. Thoughts on Glishshall as ruck combo
Worpel - surely this is a pi55 takeCan’t bring myself to drop any of those fwd premiums atm….. how many mid pricers is too much, will it affect cash gen. View attachment 1617655View attachment 1617656
Life being busy means I haven't watched any footy, haven't read any reports/articles, haven't read the board, and haven't touched my team since the team picker. Watch me have my best season yet lol, because I won't over think any decisions like I do every other year. I reckon I'll just go safe with a guns n rookies side (assuming there's enough cash cows).
I'll definitely be relying on you legends for rookie selections before round 1 though.
Hope you're all well fellas! Hopefully I'll be more active once the season starts.
Definitely missing the banter.
Welcome back stranger - there simply just not enough rookies this yearLife being busy means I haven't watched any footy, haven't read any reports/articles, haven't read the board, and haven't touched my team since the team picker. I suspect you may need to go deeper in the mid as the rookie mids don’t appear. Not sure we see Roberts and Baker round 1.Very much settled on this midfield and defence. I think we can jump on Daicos early before he cops a tag later in the year. Strategic trade away when it does happen.
Cumming taking kick ins is a no brainer pick for me. His rebounding is the best part of his game so the extra few kicks are a huge bonus.
Safe midfield. Macrae’s tackling efficiency should bounce back above into the 60% mark again this season. His average will most likely rise again.
Neale always dominates the first half of the year. Don’t want to lose any points here early.

Didn't Neale pick up a knock or two in the match sim game last week?Very much settled on this midfield and defence. I think we can jump on Daicos early before he cops a tag later in the year. Strategic trade away when it does happen.

Got a knock to the quad and then a dislocated finger but trained strongly this week. 100% fine.Didn't Neale pick up a knock or two in the match sim game last week?
That's a lot of investment in the mids. Might pay off for you.
Not sure if you are hiding your forward line because you got some secret sauce or you just forgot the second attachment.
I think the bench can be filled in the last few days when lineups are announced. Only guessing for now.I suspect you may need to go deeper in the mid as the rookie mids don’t appear. Not sure we see Roberts and Baker round 1.
I agree, I just think you might need some $ to do it. Those $123k that don’t eventuate can soon add up.I think the bench can be filled in the last few days when lineups are announced. Only guessing for now.
Oh well looks like I’m going Tim English to Esava thenI agree, I just think you might need some $ to do it. Those $123k that don’t eventuate can soon add up.
For-SheezelYou barrack for Norf and you don't have Sheezel ?
Try premo D1 Yeo D2Is there reason why some are going on 1 uber d1 ,d2 daicos route. Why not a d3 prem or is it because of the lack rookie options atm
