yeah good point. the idea of how many upgrades id need to do threw that out the window.weird logic
the chances all 3 end up top 8 mid is extremely slim. you don't have enough trades to upgrade the rest of your team let alone upgrade 3 players you started as keepers
Laird & Green = Macrae & Steele
oh and how right you are ..NB: you'll have another team version in half an hour so commenting on your teams is probably pointless
Can't believe you gave Rupert your money - so disappointing.Well, this is perfect and I won't need to touch it until after round 3.

I caved and gave him a dollar. It's all good, I'll just post a bunch of paid articles around the joint to repent for my sins.
I see McKenna as the D4, not Goater. There's a spot there for him at Brisbane.Just some comments ...
I thought Draper had a terrific year in 2022 .....plenty of highlights, but it wasn't reflected in scoring
A Rookie in Goater at D4 would have me worried TBH
I'm iffy on Taranto ....will be one of my first picked in AFL Fantasy, but IIRC he's only had one season of a 100 ave
I’m not sure there’s Enough mid price players to be confident in this year maybe Yeo and FyfeI’m clearly reading this forum too much. My team is so MPM currently
There’s no guarantee that Connor gets game’s early Wilmot has pace which is why most are looking at McKenna Wilmot also has shutdown abilityI caved and gave him a dollar. It's all good, I'll just post a bunch of paid articles around the joint to repent for my sins.
Rucks are a crapshoot next year, so * it back the big kent in I reckon. He's shown he's capable of going big, surely it's a matter of time before he can do it consistently. Goldy was the one consistent scorer under Brad Scott (he's also just a gun player in fairness).
Worst case scenario I downgrade him to a rookie, swing Cameron into the ruck, and upgrade a failing midpricer elsewhere.

Re: Taranto, gotta remember he was playing for the Giants. He would randomly get swung forward for half a dozen games in a row. He'll be the second most important inside midfielder at the Tigers, and the most important for the half of the year that Prestia is injured for. His disposal isn't great, but this hasn't stopped him shitting out big scores in the past - it's the Giants being campaigners that's stopped him.
I have emailed a complaint to CD on your behalf; they have assured me this will be investigated and in the meanwhile offer their apologies for this oversight.I’m not sure there’s Enough mid price players to be confident in this year maybe Yeo and Fyfe
I'd have thought you guys would be looking at playing McKenna on a wing. A wing that can run all day was one of the key things it seemed like the Lions needed at times this year IMO.There’s no guarantee that Connor gets game’s early Wilmot has pace which is why most are looking at McKenna Wilmot also has shutdown ability
People say that every year. You need to take a punt on midpricers. They are always cheap for a reason. Plenty debate the value of them every preseason. Plenty prove to be good picks every season. If you ignore them to play safe others won't and invariably some lucky/clever sod picks the right ones and scores more points than your safe picks.I’m not sure there’s Enough mid price players to be confident in this year maybe Yeo and Fyfe
Why would they recruit him if they don't want to play him? Doesn't seem worth the hassle/risk unless they want to play him. There’s no guarantee that Connor gets game’s early Wilmot has pace which is why most are looking at McKenna Wilmot also has shutdown ability
To play devils advocate, mid-pricers are hated/feared for a reason. It can be difficult to get the right ones. The are so many POSSIBLE options.People say that every year. 150k accounts in SC. Playing it safe won't win the thing. Taking a punt and getting it right will.
My 2c
Wing probably becomes Ashcroft spot early with Bailey on the other McKenna may have to prove himself in the VFL early Fagan loves Wilmot so I feel he gets games firstI'd have thought you guys would be looking at playing McKenna on a wing. The risk is having not played AFL for 3 years Wilmot seems more proven of the 2Why would they recruit him if they don't want to play him? Doesn't seem worth the hassle/risk unless they want to play him.
And I hear that he is training down the house, too...Why would they recruit him if they don't want to play him? Doesn't seem worth the hassle/risk unless they want to play him.
Speaking of Francis - thoughts? How does another seagull fit? 189K if there is a role, is very attractive. Ear-marked, or cheap and primarily secondary in the scheme of things?Anyway, if McKenna doesn't play, he'll just become Bowes, Francis, or some such.
My starting backline last year was similar (3 premos, 1 midpricer, 4 rookies) and it was the lowest maintenance line of the year.
Just remember, McKenna isn't an AFL native ......he's only played 6 games of AFL in 3 years ....that's not much historyI see McKenna as the D4, not Goater. There's a spot there for him at Brisbane.

I'd prefer him to McKenna if he is best 22. I suspect he'd play Paddy's role from last year and Paddy would play a more one-on-one role if Francis is in the team.Speaking of Francis - thoughts? Of course. It's all structural at this point anyway. Unless the structure of my team changes, he could easily become Bowes or Francis after the pre-season games.Just remember, McKenna isn't an AFL native ......he's only played 6 games of AFL in 3 years ....that's not much history

Typically when the Swans recruit a mature ager it's with the intention of them being a best 22 player instantly, so it's a reasonable chance. I'm not sure who he replaces, or if he's in front of Gould, though.

He'll be ready imo. It's not like he hasn't been playing footy. Just a different type of footy. Reckon he'll be good to go if he can get a good pre-season inPretty sure Bris. will want to play him. Just not sure he'll be ready Rd1, after 2yrs out.
