Match committee has continued their poor form all season.
Really feel for Dow, he must be feeling pretty hopeless, good on him for still cracking in every week.
Would have also been okay with Weitering being dropped, he is in as bad a form as anyone. Get the whole credits in the bank thing... But he has been off for weeks.
Reckon Voss is gone at the end of the season, nothing changes, feels like Teague 2.0

I’ve had some milk sitting on the back porch, in the sun, for a month and even that’s not as off as the Weiterbot.

Can’t complain with team selection, Kemp provides more run from defence than Young and better skills, TDK for Jack was obvious, disappointed Binns wasn’t given a game but don’t think it hurts us. Ed’s time has come I am just glad Voss has finally seen it.

Voss clearly has something against Dow. It's pretty embarrassing he can't even make it as a sub but we're still persisting with Ed Curnow.
Inside midfielders ahead of him but needs to be given a burst at some stage. Though all the omitted were let down gently as emergencies.

Emergency list kind of sums it up…

Dropping Young is a mistake, McGovern should have been given the flick and the other two Silvagni and Curnow shouldn’t be on the emergency list…

Franklin 200cm/102kg & McLean 198cm/99kg key forwards, even Hickey 201cm/104kg can role down forward as well, we have Weitering as our only true KPD who’s terribly out of form himself, makes you wonder…

5 day turnaround, interstate trip, slow out of form non preforming midfield, no fresh legs or run added to the team, not even too the emergency list or the possible sub, makes no sense at all…

Hope Hollands goes well, looks to be needing a weeks off break for a little freshen up…

I'm no Dow fan, but is there a point for our senior listed players playing in the VFL to really crack in?

Would have thought Dow gets given some games based on him busting his arse. Surely his mates in the team cannot understand him not being selected either
I’d hope captain Cripps has raised this with the coach

Not unhappy with the outs but that Gov survived the cut is embarrassing for us as a footy club and says a bit about where we’re at (and have been for 20 years). Such soft performances shouldn’t go unpunished. It doesn’t even matter if he sets the place alight tomorrow night. The point is his repeated soft performances (not just last Sunday) have been accepted as a standard.

Dow not even getting a look-in might become a story in itself.

If the team is really picked on form (we know deep down it mostly isn't) then Dow has more than earned a crack over Ed and George

No Dow is an absolute indictment. I hope the media asks questions.

Docherty/Durdin with injuries and a 5-day turnaround? Late changes maybe?
Who does Dow replace?? Maybe Hewett, but it’s not cetegoric.. No Binns IMO is a worse non selection, is a kid in his first year dominating at VFL level and kicking goals from midfield, something we have been severely lacking, Binns replacing Hollands was an obvious call and not sure why it’s not made.

Low blow

I like the changes and, from the listed emergencies, hope Fogarty is sub. Would’ve preferred Dow in the emergencies at least instead of Ed. Or Binns.

Anyway, hope this is the start of the great turning…

Don't mind the changes. Would've preferred Young to stay in ahead of Weiters but it is what it is. He hasn't been in much form either

Happy TDK is back. I wanted him in last week as it's clear we play better with the two rucks.

Poor SOS but he's reached the point where his heart and effort really don't make up for the lack of skill. I do believe that he has scope to being a potentially game changing sub. He seems to have a good to great quarter every week and then he's either gassed or the opposition have worked him out and his impact is limited the remainder of the game Can play all three parts of the grounds so can sub for anyone.

McGovern Vs Kemp is the one to watch. Whoever performs better will retain their spot in the 22 when Young is ready to return to form. Could be the last we see of McGovern in the best 22 as they're loathe to play him forward due to increased likelihood of injury.
A tad surprised Hollands wasn't "managed" this week. The sub out the last two weeks with last week's coming extremly early. Hoping he gets a full game this week.

Someone must've lost the keys to the Paddy wagon and they don't know where to find em. Not much else he can do to earn a call up yet there he is stuck in the VFL. Makes me wonder if it's a team culture issue (doesn't get along with others in the midfield mix) a coach-player issue or what. But it is a colossal waste of a list spot to have a player playing that well in the VFL and being unable to warrant selection when so many of those he's battling against are out of form and not meeting the standard in similar areas.i don't understand.

Dow not even an emergency anymore... Its over for him at Carlton.

Hope he smashes it at his new home next year.

I wonder if JSOS will look around also
intriguing watching the first embryonic planning stages of a smug "I told you so"...you're less interested in dow doing well than carlton looking bad.....nice work
