If we beat Port I'm pitching a tent outside the MCC in preparation for grand final day.
Statistically speaking since our resurgence the last 3 games we are top 3 or 4 in most statistical measures. Can we sustain it? Odds would suggest prob not but never say never. But that 9 week stretch of poor football was inexcusable when this standard has been set suddenly (and don’t give me the whole personnel line).

We have only faced 13th, 14th and 16th, how we play this week is huge. If we can overcome Port the lid comes right off.

Partly makes me a tad more infuriated that they couldn't figure this out even once in that 6-week stretch, but lessons learnt etc.

Mostly, the balance is exactly right. Quick ball movement exists, and defensive pressure is as the made-up pressure rating says 'elite'.

The JSOS/Young combo is not really sustainable, but boy is this utility version of Jack the best version of him. It seems pretty set where decision re TDK will end up this offseason, but if I'm being honest he is far more suited to play in this brand of footy w/ Jack than Pitt.
This style of play wouldn't have been possible with Fisher,Motlop and Durdin playing and Cuningham, Martin and Fogarty on the sidelines.

That’s why I’d be happy to let TDK walk if we can get some good picks

I'd much rather keep him but I've been saying all year that we can make it win-win whichever way it turns out.

Yes and no.. when we played GCS they were playing for 7th spot. Freo if Geelong coughed up today would’ve been playing for 8th. How often does a team who starts the round at 15th jump up to 11th and is a game out of 8 all of a sudden.

As it stands, if all rucks were fit right now I'd be going with Pitto and JSOS.

JSOS just gives us so much around the ground and even in clearances after the ruck contest.

TDK is referred to as a mobile ruck but realistically barely touches it around the ground...and his ruck work isn't top tier either.

We have been exposed with JSOS in the ruck against certain teams though...but like today, maybe our mids can do a better job of covering it.
