This is something I found interesting. Not sure how sustainable it is to play with zero recognised ruckman but it gave us more mobility around the ground

A lot of experts say the ruck is dying. I can actually see it if you have a couple of mobile tallls that can contribute around the ground or you can send your designated ruck as third tall forward and play an additional mid.

Never had a bad player.
Took the game on and attacked … that’s the way it’s gotta be !!
The physicality was there from the start, the kind of physicality that earns respect and like last week, it was Jack Martin leading the way and setting the standard.
There’s a clear change in attitude and focus across the board, none more so than Weitering.
They’ve set the standard for themselves now, whatever becomes of the rest of this season and beyond, there’s no turning back if they really want to achieve …

Think it was nullified by them having nobody that could stop Cripps and Kennedy extracting. Teams with bulls of their own we might need the bigger ruck presence.

Brilliantly played and planned though. Stepped on freos weaknesses and just exploited. 👍

Kennedy just got back into fitness and form and copped a nasty entangled twisted knee and McGovern with a seriously bad cork to the quad - just goes to show how no good deed goes unpunished.

Defensive intent is what won the game - tackling and contested football in every area of the ground - mongrel. Great win off the back of 4 quarter effort.

I'll admit I had more than written off Fogarty, I'd driven him to his next club myself. But he, along with Martin and Cuningham (and the general improvement across the ground) have made a huge difference to our team. Huge props.

Also it's easy to forget that Kemp has played less than 20 games but he's coming along nicely.

Fantastic win.

When the ball was in our forward line and there was a stoppage. Darcy didn't have it all his own way going up against Harry. A guy who is as big and strong as he is tossed him around a couple of times :D

Well done! If we beat Port then the lid might start to open a tad.
A couple of games we should have won earlier on in the season might come back to bite us on the arse... but on the whole, I think that we're hitting our straps at the right time.

Good to see Matty Kennedy smiling and singing the song. Obviously has done something but maybe not the worst outcome.
If he's walking around on it, it's just a PCL. An ACL would have him on crutches.

Well said on Fogarty. He's playing the exact game I had hoped Fisher would be playing this year. The difference? Everything Fog is doing is full of intent whereas Fish lacked it

Unless he falls off over the remaining games he's won a new contract (give him a year) as handy depth at the very least. He'll be usurped in the best 22 by Gresham if we get him but he's earned his spot in the 23 to 30-ish as a bloke who will come in and give you his all. He's just exactly what we need in that role.

A complete performance.
Restructuring the fwd line with hard tackling players is working wonders
The use of handball exquisite
The lowering of the eyes into fwd 50 delectable
The players have given themselves the chance to reignite the season next week.
We have beaten 3 bottom 8 team.
CARLTON DONT WIN CRUNCH GAMES
Question -If we win next week's crunch game what are we?
Answer- A deserved finalist
