Team is in …

NO. CHANGES.

Sam Docherty will play his 150th game in the Navy Blue guernsey - the jumper he grew up wearing as a supporter - as Carlton looks to continue its strong run of form from recent months.

Last weekend’s sub, Ed Curnow is the sole omission from the Round 22 team: he has been named as one of four emergencies alongside Jordan Boyd (now available after suspension), Sam Durdin and Josh Honey. One of those four will be named as sub an hour before the bounce.

First unchanged lineup in nearly 3 years. First under Voss. Give the guys another weeks rest.

Let the players in play for their spot in potentially finals. Give Fish another crack at the defensive runner off HB. Pitto to get another game under his belt.

Selection v Gold Coast will be much tougher if they all perform again. How can you drop players that are in form.

I like this unchanged “Carlton Lite” team we are putting out there.

Awesome to know what we have coming back in the next fortnight but an amazing opportunity for everyone in this 22 to make themselves very hard to drop.

Happy to see fish retain his spot. While teams will look to quell Saad as our springboard from half back, fisher can do what saad does offensively.
Dow gets another crack knowing his time may be short. Keep attacking and doing what HE does best.

Go blues. Get at them with nothing to lose and send shivers through the comp.

I can see a possibility if the weather forecast ends up being right and it being a slippery wet rainy day or/and night then this is the game i can see Ed being used as the sub, purely for the game conditions which enhances his contested/endurance style…

On a personal note I’d like to see Boyd as the SUB, the conditions leading into game time will most likely play a decisive factor with who wears the vest…

Unchanged. A very unfamiliar sight as a Carlton supporter!

No real issue with it either. No interest in rushing anyone back, we've been in really good form and can afford for them to recover well before easing them back in over the coming weeks.

A lot will support Boyd for the sub role and fair enough too but there's every chance we see Ed start with the green vest again. He was very good when he came on last week.

I think Ed is a great sub. Showed it last week.

Yep. Boyd will have his time. Something to be said for Ed's maturity and game experience. Hard to overlook how he ensured Charlie got a goal after he'd been shut down all game. .
Ps. New badge is striking! 😀

If I recall correctly, Boyd had a brilliant game in the wet last year against Richmond.

I don’t mind the idea of a non match fit Oliver playing instead of a match hardened alternative….could even be a liability for them…..or ……..he could go full freak and play a blinder. Banking on the former.

I agree. He's a star obviously but he hasn't played a game of AFL footy in just under 3 months. He's not going to be fully match fit.

He'll bring the heat early because his contested work is elite, but I'm very interested to see what they do with him as the game goes on.

Yep.Should we ‘rest’ some players next week to make way for Cerra/Walsh/Gov etc.Especially if we win?

Lots to ponder next week.

You'll think Clayton Oliver was James hird or something.... missing a very specific amount of time with an obfuscated injury slotting straight back in to the senior side.

Don't mind an unchanged team after the run we've had. Back the boys in who did it last week.
We're not rushing anyone back. We can afford to drop this one anyway (obviously a win is better), then hopefully bring a few back next week for the run home.

Rain is forecast from the middle of the day,who knows who that favours.

Us, battle hardened & fit.
A lot of our players have played in absolute shit mud pit conditions (anyone who been in VFL) will be an advantage & we should come home stronger
