ive been mulling 2 options over and over and just cant decide:
1. Jelly -> Green, Marshall -> English
2. Jelly -> SicDog, rookie fixup Greene -> Chandler

1. Green should go large this week and be a solid pick till at least rnd 7. Sideways to English would set and forget my rucks (barring injury etc)
2. Sic will be top 6 def. Defense line is thin this year and just locking him in now will make life easier long term. Chandler is just sideways rookie roulette for a cash grad, plus greene stunk it up

The "In The Mix" article suggested Bowes "is expected to be available for his first game after playing some minutes in a VFL practice match on the weekend"
Some minutes? Not very expansive, almost a bit negative on a call up maybe.
Shadow89 and Gunf
What are your thoughts on Bowes post injury output, assuming he's named?

Josh Gabelich is a dead set moron, and and has little to zero clue what's actually happening with our club. How I miss Mitch Cleary...

Bowes is definitely playing this week, and more than that, it's been said that we want the ball in his hands at every opportunity - as he's such a good user/decision maker. If he has a decent game (80+), I very much will consider bringing him in.

I'd back in Marshall to bounce back this week so wouldn't be so quick to offload

New alert! Shadow89 will bring in a Geelong player

Bowes is playing this week ....doubt he's a great Fantasy get for his price / scoring history
Not sure I agree with you there. Just like Setterfield, he's got a good fantasy game when played to his strengths and was targeted by a team that will give him that opportunity. Well worth the punt (as is Setters).

I’m stuck here, bought POD Hunter Clark into my round 1 team last minute thinking there’d be a decent midfield role for him and he’d be 20 points under priced.

After just scoring 62 from 59% TOG I’m tempted to jump off already but **** all midrange options available (already have Day D4) not sure how to play it.

Trading Clark gives me 678k. Ridley, Cox, Richards all straight swap options.

Could downgrade to Constable or Uwland but not not confident with their JS, Bowes if fit tempts me but could also be a sideways trade. Any suggestions?

Would obviously go Dawson or Sic before him but can't get there on price. 6th best defender will be lucky to average 100 this year so my thinking is he'll be right up there and he's still slightly under priced
Great thing about Youngy is he's not just a great kick of he football (team want the ball in his hands) but he's a great contested and intercept mark. So he doesn't just need +6's to get a score, he is capable of winning his own football in the air. In my opinion, great pick if you need to fix up a Stewart, provided you have Daicos who I think still outscores Young this season.

Bowes fantasy history is inflated by playing as a loose half back and having a chunk of the kick ins for a period of time with GC. He had 70 kick ins in 19 games in his best season in 2021 with an 80avg. Nearly 4 a game. Besides that season he's never gone over 71 avg.

He won't get that role with Geelong. Besides that season his history is not very impressive. Certainly not enough to pick him at 600k IMO

If they decided he's playing Tuohy's role off HB and Tuohy goes forward I can see the upside. Otherwise, I can't see it.

Not a personal attack on you, but can we pin this message for anyone ever looking at Hunter Clark again.

Bloke is a fraud, i watched that game and first had 10 touches going at 22%, just little hack kicks going around the corner, no tackles no marks. soft as butter, made of glass. fraud, hopefully north give you good compo at the end of the year.

Fantasy wise, Maybe stocker?

There's enough potential for upside in his game at Geelong that I'm keeping an eye on him. Even with a good game first up he's unlikely to rise too much.

What's Michalanney's JS like? Scored okay on the weekend in pretty trying conditions and I think I'd rather go down to him from Jones rather than to Constable if he's likely to stay in the side. Pick 17 so clearly talented. 12 touches, 4 marks.

Half back is not the best role in our team. Playing off half forward and being the extra roaming mid who attends CBA's, ala the Duncan role from 2020 and 2021 - that's the role that you want in our team to score well. That's the role he had in the first half of the practice match in the Hawks, and if he has the role, I honestly think he'll be our top scorer and could average 90+.

Will be interesting to see how he goes tomorrow, but if I see that role is there like it was in the praccy, I won't hesitate to jump on.

No bench room huh?

Nah just need to get Xerri out and Darcy in (as I originally had), and Bruhn to Chandler seems the logical option - given I get the rook I want too.

McDonald may be the other one I consider to bank even more cash...but I'll wait to see team sheets tonight to see if Bruhn is likely to be subbed on the basis of our squad.

You may be right.

I think I'm already scarred by Geelong players after it took just over 2 quarters for Scott to move your best performing CBA mid out to a wing and burn me.

Need some help. Not sure who to trade in round 2. I'm going down, or back up, with Laird, as players are like stock options -- you only lose money once you sell them.
Bruhn to Chandler is the most obvious trade. I'd then save the second trade for team announcements and fix up the other rookies, focussing on McVee of Fergus if all get re-selected.

To be fair, he didn't really have any other option. All our mids got screwed by our defenders going down and us needing to cover, not just Bruhn. If we hadn't had Parf as sub, Bruhn would have stayed where he was all game, and our mids would have got much more TOG.

Unfortunately, our rotations were purely used on our defenders, so mids got very little TOG as a result. Danger had 62%, Guth had 74%, Blics only had 89% when usually plays nearly a full game, Isaac Smith had 88% when he usually plays near a full game, and Parfitt had a mere 41%. Was an absolute train wreck for our mids, and only Atkins had 80%. Don't see that happening again, as our sub will likely be Whyte this time, so the mids will be stable where they are.

Fingers crossed. Everyone is jumping off Bruhn and I'm forced to keep him due to injuries. Think I can get some good scores out of him if he stays in the role I thought he would play. The E is on him though for a potential loop as the trust needs to be rebuilt
