Not sure how I feel about trading out Touk.. but side trading to LDU and grabbing the extra 100k I don’t think I can ignore.

Means I can afford to ditch Fyfe and bring Gulden in.

Thoughts?

I’ll have to persist with Darcy and miss out on Naicos I think.

Chesser > Chandler the easy one

Flanders > Buckley maybe (could go up to Worpedo)

Fregus the next on the cull list - might leave him and see how Ryan goes round 3

probably pass on Long and Hollands

then its what to do with Hodor ?????

Forget the rookie trade and look for another way to find the money. Is there no other spot fires? Trading out Touk to LDU won't get you any extra points.

I think it's time to move on from Dusty. I'm thinking one of: Darcy Cameron, Jeremy Cameron, Jack Ziebell or Errol Gulden.

Also, considering switching JHF for Setterfield

Any guidance, pro or against, is welcome

Definately trade Dusty. I would avoid Jezza being a key forward. The other 3 would all be good picks. Ziebell if you want to bank some cash. Cameron if you want ruck cover. Gulden if it's just about most points. All 3 are likely to be keepers but not guarantees.

JHF to Setterfield is harder. I suspect Setters will score about 10 PPG better over the year but JHF is a forward so has more potential to be a keeper (though I doubt it happens). Setters will make cash quicker with that 148 in his cycle. I would lean towards giving JHF more time but if you can afford the trade and want the cash grab go Setters.

Seriously considering taking a different approach now and rather than ride out so called "Premos" banking on them coming good, I am going to cut and cut deep into the list.

There are 6 guys I want to get in but will have to settle for 3 (maybe the other 2 next week).

Davies-Uniacke, Setterfield, Ziebell, English, Cameron & Chandler all peaking my interest for various reasons.

The three premos on the block are Macrae, Brayshaw & Darcy.

Macrae doesn't look the same and Bevo is a giant campaigner sticking him to the goal square... They will figure it out probably but I am not waiting for his value to tank.

Darcy got a touch up on the weekend and even though he could go nuts this week, he has a history of either feast or famine scores (was hoping he would be more consistent with another year but may just have to accept that is how he is).

Brayshaw is directly effected by Darcy and while he will still be a sound pick, he may slide back from that top group. The 70 Round 1 really stuck out as a massive red flag.

At this stage, initial thoughts are Macrae, Brayshaw, Darcy > Setterfield, Chandler & Cameron with an eye to turn three rookies (at this stage Flanders, Greene & Chesser) into English, Davies-Uniacke & Ziebell in Round 4.

This could also be rage talking from watching crabs stink it up all weekend

Biggest issue this week in my opinion. The problem is we know he will go 150 next week. Question is can he continue that against tougher opponents in Witts and co. in the upcoming weeks.
I don't think anyone could be confident of Darcy putting up anything substantial against someone like Witts off what we saw. All well and good him putting up a reasonable score this week but if he is going to push out a 70 or less the next week, it means nothing.

You won't gain ground with these fluctuations and he will only bleed coin and points to other rucks. As bad as the Gawn situation was, at least it has come at a point of no monetary variance to those teams, Darcy pushing out another 40 in three weeks means he tanks any value left.

Tricky.
Ideally need > 3 trades.
Have to prioritize.
No idea at the minute,.depends on Callaghan, Bytel, whether Setterfield plays etc.
Interesting week.

Setters and Daicos trades make sense. I'd rethink the Crouch one. Doesn't matter if he has a great next month. He won't be a keeper which at that price makes him a waste of a trade. I'd go McLuggage to LDU, Green or Mitchell in that order of preference if you don't have them. Alternatively could go to a midpricer like Worpel if you want more cash.
Yep, after sleeping on it I’m definitely rethinking the Crouch one.

Already have Green so will consider LDU

Sean Darcy can gagf
Brayshaw or Dale can gagf
JHF can gagf

LDU, Cameron and Oliver coming in... playing the best mate this week, must win game. It's the only one that matters.

Steele > Daicos (Ginbey to MID)
Darcy > English
Flanders > Sheezel

160k in bank for next week, one of Callaghan and Cumming could go if they don’t lift

I initially thought

Flanders > Ziebell
Darcy > Cameron
Dale > Daicos

But after realising Flanders’ price probably wont go backwards this week, I’m considering something a bit more radical.

Hopper > LDU
Darcy > Cameron
Dale > Daicos

Means I have to put up with one more garbage score from Flanders. And I’m a bit sorry to give up Hopper so early. But LDU will be a top five mid this year, and this is the only opportunity I’m going to get to do a straight up trade for Hopper, who will probably end up being around the 25th highest scoring mid. LDU shows more signs of being a true keeper than Ziebell too.

Hopper has a BE of 2. LDU has a date with Magginiss this weekend.

Risky not doing any rookie corrections imo. Cash gen is everything even with the extra trades.

I don't have him, but the only reason you hold him is you have 3 more important trades this week. If he misses again he's a decent loop. But he's a must-trade imo.
Cheers. Fyfe Jackson and Chesser are my three weakest links no real concerns elsewhere except Comben
