I watched him live a few times in the past and just don’t see an AFL player

Something has clicked in the past 5 or 6 weeks he is a very much an improved player - looks AFL ready now IMO. Compsoure goes a long way in all levels of footy and this year Tyson has it in spades. Sometimes it takes players longer to find their way I think Tyson is one.

Head knock I imagine its concussion. Poor bugger everytime it looks like there might be a position open up he gets injured.

Windhager was best a field with Connolly showing again he has a future as an outside midfielder. Peris is probably the next closest he is just an energy bunny. Max Heath has a red hot go but is still a work in progress.

Billings & Membrey need more weeks at VFL level, neither look match fit at this time.

Tony74 is exactly right about Isaac Keeler he is going to be some sort of player when he gets an AFL body and fitness.

Tyson Milne is starting to look a very composed back pocket distributor. I wonder if the club will consider grabbing him as a father son. He has been Sandringham's most consistent non listed player by some margin.

Milne is about 25 by now, you could just rookie him. Not sure anyone would be chasing him apart from us.

Just watched the replay.

Windy surely comes in for Hunter (assuming he will be out injured). Far too good for VFL level.

I know a lot have people have already stamped Leo's papers, but think he is worth persisting with in a midfield role. His hands in close are very good and he has good footwork to create space. Good decision maker also.

Keeler very exciting, great to see he has a real pressure and chase side of his game for such a young key forward.

Heath competes very well. Milne worth a look. Highmore the best defender but obviously no spot for him in the seniors. Adams and Van Es combo is hopefully a sign of the future. Both still very raw and can be a bit lost with ball in hand.

I guess at the end of the year they will need to decide whether Heath has progressed enough to let Campbell go. But its not like we have a crazy Hawks number of rucks.

Agree with all your comments Slug.

Connolly has come ahead in leaps and bounds since Batchelor moved him into the midfield. He is never going to be a clearance beast, but he offers speed and high quality kicking (both sides). If he can keep improving at his current rate he would be worth a run in the AFL later in the year. Definitely worth another years contract to see where his development takes him.

Keeler is a work in progress with his strength and fitness, but he just has something special for a guy his size. He has a huge future if he reaches his potential.

If Max Heath had a tank he would have been playing AFL games this year. He has the competitiveness to make it, he just needs to keep working on his endurance and hopefully it will come. When he does make it, we are going to have a player who will throw the team on his shoulders and say come with me. He just plays with the attitude that makes players around him walk taller, and he loves the contested stuff.

Van Es and Adams are like Keeler they have a way to go but you can see they will make decent players with the right development.

If Highmore had a more attacking game and decent kicking he would be a reasonable player, but I dont see him being on the list next year. Another club might pick him up as a backup eg Sydney.

EH - Hotton was reported as being one of the best clearance players in his draft class and a midfielder who can play forward and hit the score board. I think when he is ready he probably starts as a small forward then later moves up into the middle. He made the All Australian side after the Championships last year so he was rated fairly highly.

Can anyone answer what type of player he is. Is he more mid than forward or forward who sometimes goes mid? Like is he competing with Higgins or possibly billings or more of a gresh type.
Mid/forward if we lose Gresh he will step into Gresh forward roll next year, confident he will be a player

"Quick and agile forward and midfielder with a very good feel for the game. Has emerged as a real AFL prospect this year. Was outstanding for Victoria Metro in the National Championships and earned All-Australian honours. His performances included a starring effort in the comprehensive win over South Australia, with 24 disposals and three goals." - Kevin Sheehan

A jet.

He’s quite Simmilar to Windy. Relatively strong overhead and speedy. I was really bullish on him and had him in my top 15 players in the draft. It’s really his speed and power.

Think windy/Shuey.

Good coaching.

How good is he? As good as windy and Owen’s? Like we could replace crouch or Steele or Ross with him this year if they play poorly?

That’s a bit ambitious for a first year player. Best case scenario is probably some good VFL form and a game or two towards the end of the season. Anything more than that would be wishful thinking.

Excited to see him though. Looks like what we need in the forward line.

It’s not ambitious. Windy or Owens could do it. Just wondering if he’s THAT type of first year player.

Eg. Windy/Owens/Rowell/Anderson/Daicos/Ashcroft/Horne-Francis/Walsh

It’s quite common these days
