He actually spoke quite well there towards the end of the interview. Honest assessment of himself & the club too. Be good to pack the place out and drown out the Carlton fans.
I'm trying to keep a lid on this game, but it's hard to not get motivated against this mob.

Said Membrey and King right to play, praised Caminiti and Owens, talked about prior list management decisions and how we will go to the draft for the next few years.

Didn't give away much as usual
Well worth a listen.

For all you sceptics RTB knows exactly where we are at & what we need to get there.

Really like when he said he doesn’t want to leave Windhager (& the other young talented kids) stranded - I.e. They will keep going back to the draft looking for more young talent to add to this group rather than trade for good ordinary footballers.

We are not looking for a quick fix but instead looking to build an elite young group - might take a bit longer but I like it!

"Which AFL Club do you like to beat the most?"

Sinclair without a single moment of hesitation: "Carlton"

Mitchito picking Collingwood is sweet. Great episode, good to see these two guys have a bit of fun.
Love Mitch even more now. Having a subtle crack at Marvel when it's wet. Love it.

It works for older players too.
Players like Seb Ross have shown that they can lift if they need to. But he's happily married with a young family, and with a decade of Saints footy behind him is probably settled with the status qou.
But if we get the right young guys pushing us in the right direction, players like him will lift with the team.

I was at that game where Spida kicked that great goal at the WACA against Freo, it looked even better live.

He was a freakish talent, such a shame he got injured in the first final in 1997, probably cost us a flag, he was the best ruckman in the game back then.

He gets forgotten by the football world because he doesn't have "Buddy" in his name. A ruckman smothers, kicks off the ground, breaks a tackle, goals on the run from 50m. Supreme talent. Every week I would watch Everitt, Harvey and Burke waltz the ball out of the centre. Alves revolutionised the midfield at the time.

I was at this game too in 1998 against West Coast where Spida kicked 6 goals to get us home by a couple of points in a great last quarter comeback.

One of those goals was clearly a point and I was sitting at that end right next to the West Coast cheer squad and I yelled out "great goal Spida".

He just gave me a cheeky wink, he knew he had got away with one, great character. Alves was a great coach too, he didn't deserve to be sacked.

I actually think Cornes and King are great in the media. They know what they are talking about, can back it up and will say they were wrong.

I used to hate King cos he talked trash about us all the time, now I know he was right. Both will laud us to the rafters when (if) we get it right.

They're so much more valuable than bottom feeders like Damien Barrett who is just a vindictive little shyte
