That PM group is a blight, those people in it think they are special from the rest of us especially that Mowman chode (chode? is that right, I am just an old dumb boomer, not as hip as the ones who use these new sayings, from Bevis and Butthead in 1992)

Fun fact, “chode” apparently peaked in usage ages ago, it’s only now making a comeback. A chode resurgence you might say.

Would have thought the boomers would enjoy a good chode revival.

Very happy to admit when I'm wrong.

You on the other hand have been banging on for 12 months about how Nasiah is unhappy, now it turns out the whole thing is bs and you're still doubling down :roflv1: Seems you've gotten a few things wrong lately, laughing at anyone that suggested Cordy could be a good pickup is another example.

Anyway it's all good, hopefully you'll feed some more golden morsels to us from your PM group.

he wasn't alone with Cordy - I sure didn't want him but we've needed him with the injuries. In a full team I don't see where he fits unless he's the ruck chop out

Gerard is by far the most overrated footy “journalist” out there. How he got his solid reputation is beyond me.

He was on the ABC and most of those guys got given credibility because they didn't have to push the corporate agenda. He was the last of his era to go into the commercial networks and he's believed that he's some how special. He was the last because he was so terrible that no-one wanted him. He's a boring egotistical little goblin. He's like a beige Bruce McAvaney. His greatest talent is making sport dull when he's calling, that is unique. He makes it sound like he's reading accounting books out loud. His best role is as the prissy, churchy, dull, straight-man to the old pisshead Robbo.

STAR SAINT TO WAIT

JADE Gresham will wait until deeper into the season before focusing on his free agency call, with the star Saint set to be one of the most in demand players in the AFL.

Gresham will qualify as a restricted free agent this season as he comes to the end of the four-year deal he signed in 2019.

He endured an injury-hit run between 2020-22, playing 32 of a possible 63 games for the Saints in the period, but has been back to some of his dynamic best in the opening two rounds of this season, booting two goals in each of the Saints' wins.

The 25-year-old is expected to attract significant interest this season given his game-breaking traits, but St Kilda would be able to match a bid for him given he is set to qualify as a restricted free agent. The Saints haven't tabled an offer to Gresham as yet.

I hope he stays but it’s a first rounder regardless if he goes. If it doesn’t trigger first rounder compensation then we just match it and make them trade

He's backing himself in to have a great year so he can demand more money. No problem with that. Hopefully he does so either

1) he realizes his potential, continues this great form with the club for the next 5 years and leads us to the promise land,

2) he has a great year, creates a bidding war so other clubs offer more money, and we get a better compo pick/trade package

Ultimately I don’t think we can lose.

But we can end up paying more by waiting and letting the market dictate his price.

I'd be happy for me to leave if we get a first rounder as compensation. Good player but his poor disposal kills me, if we could get a first rounder for him and bundle it with our first pick this year to move higher up the draft board to add another elite player to the young crop we have that's a win.
