What do we reckon Kai’s worth is? Essendon’s second would be a pretty good result.

Currently pick 27.What do we reckon Kai’s worth is? Essendon’s second would be a pretty good result.
i would definitely like to keep zorko on if he feels his body is up for it and we can get another season with similar output to this year out of himLot of talk about Brain coming on. If Kai and Dev go, with zorko possibly going, definitely spots up for grabs in our best 25 next year. We will cop a year with bad injuries one year.
If we're offered 27 for Kai, we should make sure we have the getaway car idling on the kerb outsideCurrently pick 27.
I have a feeling Essendon will baulk at paying such a price for Kai.
However, holding picks 26 & 27 would make it much easier to trade up for pick from Gold Coast, if WB trade up for GC’s first round pick.
Still very flashy. The flashes can be brilliant, but it's hard to see a path forward where he cracks the seniors. How is B.Coleman coming along?

I would say, on the evidence he's presented so far, that seems unlikely. Still young though, he'll only be 21 for the majority of next season. Given his family connection and the fact that sometimes the indigenous guys take a bit longer to find their place, I wouldn't have a problem with us offering him a 1-2 year extension, on or near base rate. I'd absolutely love him to come good because he can be brilliant.Even if we factored in say two years once Linc is perhaps coming to the end?
I know it is really early but Fletch might end up being comfortably better that Hugh.Agree.
Also Jaspa Fletcher will end up coming off the full time wing role and being a terrific balanced midfielder much like Hugh McCluggage IMO.
Haydn Bunton ?I know it is really early but Fletch might end up being comfortably better that Hugh.
Does he have the capacity or desire to play another role?I agree that Kai may have to bide his time to play that small forward role, but why should he be limited to only that role? Many small forwards have developed their skills elsewhere on the field. Chris Johnson, Aker, Saad, Papley, just to name a few. With Rich retiring, a back flank is up for grabs for a player with a bit of flair. I think Wilmot could transition to a wing next year, creating an opening. If Kai wants better opportunities, he may need to be open to change.
I'd go McCluggage > Coleman > Zorko.... very close though.i would definitely like to keep zorko on if he feels his body is up for it and we can get another season with similar output to this year out of him
still one of our best link players between the arcs and probably only behind mccluggage in terms of players i want kicking into our f50
even if he has to be heavily managed throughout a season his skillset is very valuable and i do not feel there is a player who is banging the door down in the roles we deploy zorko in that he is keeping out of the side

IRISHMAN Darragh Joyce is set to continue his AFL journey for an eighth season after making the most of his second chance at Brisbane.
The 26-year-old was delisted by St Kilda after playing 13 games across six seasons before the Lions added him to the rookie list during the pre-season supplemental selection period last pre-season.
Joyce has provided extra key defensive coverage at the Gabba, playing five of the first six games of 2023 for Chris Fagan before producing a strong season in the VFL.

With Marcus Adams announcing his retirement due to his concussion battle, Joyce has been offered a one-year extension to remain at the Lions.
Brisbane has three Irish imports on its list with Conor McKenna set to remain at the club for two more years after playing all 24 games since returning to the AFL, while James Madden signed a one-year extension in July. – Josh Gabelich
With news coming out this morning that Khamis has interest from multiple clubs and is assessing his options I was going to say I’d be surprised if we weren’t one of them. We were linked with him last year.Would Kai for Baku be a good trade Lions get a 3rd key forward Bulldogs get a 2nd medium forward
Max Holmes and SDK for a future 3rd rounderWe usualy have a player from our feeder club Geelong lined up to come up to Brissie.

Coffield and Khamis would be a couple of high upside additions.
