Hard to assess where Dizzy is at in terms of his ability to play at the level given his injuries, but I suspect he wouldn't entice much interest. His body is pretty broken.
We may find out how he goes on Saturday should Payne not get up.

I've been watching him play as a top-up with the seconds for several years now, and while being appreciative of his talents, thought that this was about his level. The last few games of the VFL season have changed my mind and I now have a real hankerin' for Bruce Reville.
He's a very competent footballer. There must be a reason why the Lions haven't signed him for the seniors, but I'm not sure where that reason would lie - him or us. Does he not fit a need? Does he perhaps feel he wouldn't be able to commit to the requirements of a professional career?

Yeah, dunno. To me, it's like a switch has been flipped and he's suddenly realised he's a bit better than being 'just another supporting role' player each week. Generally just getting more involved and showing a bit of leadership out there and all. Watching him at training yesterday hitting blokes on the tit with 50 metre tracer bullets got me thinking.

I’ve questioned his kicking in the past. He has been very hit & miss in hitting his targets.

Interesting that the VFL season is finished and one (at least) of our top ups is still training with the squad.

That sounds like an SSP signing to me.

I see a pattern, Coffield and Doedee both very good users of the footy and good endurance when injury free.
I like our focus on blokes who can use the ball. Provided they are also tough enough and fit enough, it's a much better game to watch.

One of the most bizarre list management decisions in Lions history. His body was shot so we extend him for a few years…

Thankfully Lester has performed well or we’d be up shit creek right now.

Coffield's VFL stats. The last four rows are this year's games.

I’d be extremely rapt if we managed to grab Coffers. His talent and footy IQ are just next level and I don’t think we have many “smart” footballers on our list. If you get my drift…

Would walk crawl backwards on hands and knees over glass and burning coal to get this bloke. Hope the rumours are true.

Not sure I can remember the tea leaves being so thoroughly wrong like this before. He seems a super popular character in the group, so this will be a good morale boost ahead of Saturday.

Great news. Certainly a shock. I admit I got halfway through reading that tweet expecting he’d asked to be traded already, but thought it weird to have already done so. Really good news!
Just gonna wait until he officially resigns with the club before feeling relieved about it all but that’s quite the U-turn in this whole situation, which I wasn’t really expecting in the slightest given the constant rumours all year round.

Does make me wonder though if someone like Robertson is moving back home to WA now and / or Fullerton moving to VIC for greater opportunities given our current salary and needing to resign crucial players next year like McCluggage and Berry unless we are absolute geniuses with how we operate our salary cap.

Just confirms to me that it’s going to be a boring trade period for us. Maybe we get doedee but that doesn’t seem like it will be top dollar.

Re-signing clug is priority #1. So good to see him back to his best.

will put my hand up and say im pretty shocked by this - but great news. high upside player

if we can get one of doedee or coffield and resign dev we have done very well from a list management point this year after our insane off season last year
