Heard that Carlton have guaranteed Xav Lindsay they'll take him if available at their pick but wouldn't be the first time a club has said that & not followed through. Saints & Swans went pretty hard grilling him in interviews.

A few years back, a mate's son was "guaranteed" by 3 clubs that they would take him if available at their mid/late first rd picks. They all then didn't lol. One of them also then had an early 2nd....still didn't pick him lol.

Ending up getting picked by a club later in 2nd rd who had given him next to no indication.

Draft night has a life of its own for some/many.

May I ask how you came across this information? I'd much rather Berry or Hotton at our pick but he does fit the bill of class with ball in hand we're desperate for

Just like it took a long while for Cal and co to cotton on to Kai Lohmann.

I can’t recall where I had Lohmann for most of his draft year but I’m pretty sure I had him top 20 close to it.

Not hard to see why, pound for pound the best kick in the draft with Berry and Oliver inches behind.

Cal sure does love him some APS schoolboys, must be torn rating Country boy FOS (Koroit) but Xavier College/Oakleigh Chargers so all good. Wonder how high he'd have FOS if he played for the CTL club he's zoned to the GWV Rebels and went to Warrnambool College?

O’Sullivan is still a top 5 pick in my eyes, his last two years of form aswell should count for a lot.
