Cal has his Vic biased hat on.

How he has FOS ahead of Sid Draper for instance sums it all up really.

I don't think you need to knock down FOS to pump up Draper. Draper has built a strong case through his stellar bottom age campaign and fantastic SANFL performances for South Adelaide in the back half of this year. My personal opinion is that Cal has him a bit low, but the top end of this draft is very even.

Drafting isn't about picking the kid that has the best stats and performances for the season... everyone is aware of the challenges that FOS has faced this year. The strong belief among many is that he has elite AFL level traits/attributes.

But it is though.. that's why some players drop in drank rankings and others rise. There is enough factual evidence prove this. Look at the current rise and form of Alex Tauru from Gippsland Power, no one would have had him in their top 30 eight months ago and now he's a genuine top 10 prospect based off current form.

Aston Mior is one example. Many tip him as a top 3 prospect after his underage year and yet because he had a quiet year last year he obviously dropped way down the pecking order.

Based on current form there is no way FOS is a top 5 prospect.

No, its about picking the kid that you think will be the best player at AFL level. Their form and performances are just one factor among many that contributes to the assessment.

Why was Patrick Hughes from the Falcons undrafted last season after winning the Morrish medal?

Cal Twomey thinks there is a way for Pies to get pick 12 out of the Suns. Noble + some other picks that Suns need.
Probably includes your F1. Judging by what teams paid last year you’d think they’ll get better offers than Noble,33,48,51 but if they go all Lachie Weller on Noble then who knows. Although I do think the Suns are a fair bit more sensible than that now.

This draft seems so even at the top end, I’ve never heard so many different names proposed for the number 1 pick. I’m not going to pretend I know who Richmond should take, for the draft guru’s who should it be?

Watching Tauru highlights, he looks like an AFL suited player and a little bit raw and a big upside. Any more information on him?
He is from Warragul - had a few niggling injuries in recent seasons but always had heap of potential. Tallish - about194?- exceptional over head, very athletic. Suprisingly didnt get selected for Gippsland Power under 16s a couple of years ago.
Wasnt initially selected in Vic country 18s team but came in during the tournament.
Was just selected in the Coates 18s team of the year.

He is from Warragul
