Doubt any of the decent KPF’s fall that far. Our FF could be a mid 20’s pick next year in a weak draft. Happy to risk the potential downside to bring in a guy who I think has good scope.

Hoping that Jaques falls to 45 for us.

That would be a steal

This is a tracker I whipped up for our board that includes combine testing results, Talent League stats and 'consensus' rankings from the major outlets (top 30). Just posting in case it's useful for anyone:

It could be but it could also be top 10. I don't see a quality of player in the 20s this year to justify that risk.
I like gerreyn but there will be some decent development talls at 45 so I'm happy to sit tight (but the club might think different).

Age had a mock draft and has Hawks taking Harrison Oliver who they themselves state is the best small defender

Shows how deep the draft is. There is an error in article as they have Essendon picking before us but don't have a pick due to kako bid

Which should make trading up(if a team has 2nd round picks) not so costly affair but somehow it is this year since Tigers have most picks on sale.

I remain confident that North will not select Tauru with pick 2 despite the links in many phantom drafts. It all depends on the split. North will take him if they can orchestrate a fair swap to slide down the order. if not, there has been talk linking North to Sid Draper. I wouldn't mind that at all.

Reckon Melbourne are taking him with their 1st pick anyway. North better off picking Draper @ 2

ESPN has released its Mock draft

Did my own top 50 rankings for the draft a few weeks ago.
Not where I think they will go just where I rank them.
The shades of is a player they share traits with or play like not how good they will be
Feel free to ask me some questions if you've got any. Love to get your guys thoughts.

yeah that probably would of been handy to add, wasn't sure if it was worth it given alot of guys grow over the season and I didnt have the official heights from the combine available to me if they still release them.

Was speaking with my brother inlaw last night and Absolutely MAD cats fan

He mentioned is Gerryn was available he would jump at the Pick #24 with the cats F1 and have him FF as the perfect Hawkins replacement rotating with Neale as the 2nd Ruck. Personally, i think he would be a great fit at the cats

You hate the KPP this draft apparently… ha ha.

yeah not a big fan of them. I do really like Jobe Shanahan and have no issues with someone taking him in the top 10.
i think most the highly touted key defenders in this draft are all pretty much undersized being sub 195cm and are more likely third defenders at afl

I’m in his camp. Assuming you guys pick up either Armstrong or Shanahan I’d assume you’d be prepared to potentially trade one of your later picks allowing us to take Gerreyn.

I agree he looks like a suitable replacement for Hawkins albeit that to expect him to reach that level is a tad optimistic!

I think Richmond will be listening to offers with picks #23 & #24 and with 7 teams wanting back into this draft there will be choices but i certainly believe 2 of the 8 picks will become future 1st rounders

It will be interesting to see the interest. It’s a big risk for a lot of teams to trade their FF without risking egg on their face in 12 months time. I can imagine the likes of the top 6 this year would consider it though.

And an even better fit at the Tigers ;)

I think we might only pick 5 players in this draft and swap the other 3 for futures.

It may but teams have declared they intend to trade back in to this years draft

North , Gold Coast , Essendon , Eagles , Geelong , Brisbane & Bulldogs
Ideally the highlighted teams would be our preference
