I think we might only pick 5 players in this draft and swap the other 3 for futures.
It will be 5 or 6 depending on the offers from which teams and the players remaining

There may be a player we rate in our top 11 that falls to pick 20 that we just cant pass up and take the 6
but i would highly doubt we would take more than 6 picks and hold 1 pick for the PSD and upgrade 2 rookies

I think Richmond would be better off turning 2-3 picks between 18-23 into F1s then spending them to trade 6 to 2.

If they can get 5-6 picks inside 20 this year and have at least 3 first rounders lined up next year that's a big win.

Nobody should be trading their F1 for those 18-23 Richmond picks. Very little upside. But we all know the offers will come.

Also, if they don't trade for 2 and North have to hold it, North might take Tauru anyway allowing a player to slide to 6 that wouldn't otherwise.

I don't think North want future picks I'm pretty sure they want picks in this year's draft.

Was speaking with my brother inlaw last night and Absolutely MAD cats fan

He mentioned is Gerryn was available he would jump at the Pick #24 with the cats F1 and have him FF as the perfect Hawkins replacement rotating with Neale as the 2nd Ruck. Personally, i think he would be a great fit at the cats
He does have Tom Hawkins clone vibes.

I didn't say any about North getting future picks. Talking about tigers trading their late 1sts for F1s.

At the start of your post you said "I think Richmond would be better off turning 2-3 picks between 18-23 into F1s then spending them to trade 6 to 2."

I meant to keep them. Richmond should trade some picks from 18-23 for F1s and keep them to use themselves. Instead of using those picks to trade up to pick 2.

Has anyone been able to download the pdf form of the RMC draft guide? If so can it be attached here?

I haven't found it to be downloadable either yet.

He has as high an upside as any key position player in the draft imo.

His highlights are nuts, think he would be talked up more if he played in VIC rather than WA

He looks really fluid and classy with the ball. Both sides of his body. Aggressive in the air. Big frame, uses it. Protects the drop zone.
Agree you’d think will higher than predicted.

This is a tracker I whipped up for our board that includes combine testing results, Talent League stats and 'consensus' rankings from the major outlets (top 30). Just posting in case it's useful for anyone:

Have updated with the new HS and ESPN mocks, and have removed some of the older versions, which have switched up the consensus rankings a bit.

Can't see Trainor going that early. Way too risky. (Which is a pity as he is so talented)

It may but teams have declared they intend to trade back in to this years draft

North , Gold Coast , Essendon , Eagles , Geelong , Brisbane & Bulldogs
Ideally the highlighted teams would be our preference
Can you provide a link to Brisbane's declaration.

We don't have the future picks to trade back in to this years draft, certainly not the first round.

Was mentioned on trade radio during the trade period as well as mentioned again on the Fox trade day
Mentioned on trade radio by who? A host spitballing.

We hold a future first and future third round pick.

We have a possible top 10 academy kid next year (Twomey said he was a possible top 5 kid on yesterday's Gettable podcast), as well as potentially 2 or 3 more kids who could be second round kids.

And we had two of our academy mids make the U16 AA team, for the 2026 draft.

We're going to need a lot of points over the next couple years. I don't see how we get these kids and trade back in to this draft using our future first round pick, and you have to give us a future second round pick back to comply to AFL rules.

not really an issue for me as it wouldnt even be a desired pick compared to all the others anyway
