Dont understand the reasons why Richmond wouldnt select Ashcroft with pick 1.. by making Ashcroft the #1 pick they remove the pressure from Draper/FOS etc who will no longer be referred to as pick 1 and the expectations that comes with this title.

Richmond and Brisbane did a pick swap during trade period.

There would have been a strong wink and a nod involved...

I'm going to start a gofundme to become a list manager. My pitch is I promise to bid on literally everyone as soon as I can as long as I think the team will match.

Takers?

Dillon: And with the fourth overall pick in the 2030 AFL draft Fremantle has bid on Billy Smith

Shifter on Fox: now this is interesting. Billy Smith, the son of former North Melbourne great John Smith, was projected to go at pick 60 in the draft, but I understand Fremantle’s new list manager has pledged to bid on everyone

North Melbourne: we won’t match

the league was stuffed since Hawkins was grabbed with pick 41. Asterisks on most flags since.
Does that mean Melbourne's 2021 premiership has an asterisk too then ;)

Hypothetically, if GCS was forced to trade you Mac Andrews for a future fourth rounder, would your view on how the league is run change?

Then you get stuck with Fredrick Rumpelstiltskin who wasn't as valued by the team he was attached to as you thought, and whom plays in a position you don't need.

If tigers take the full 5 min or even half that time to read the first pick then fine them

The only reason this shouldn’t be instant is if they bid on Ashcroft
North may have asked Richmond to take their time just so it gives North time to consider #18+#20 for pick #2

There's very little inside mail. This draft's closest comparison is 2017 and the top 10 phantom was quite inaccurate.

One of the all time classics for a deep dive is the 2017 draft.

Lachie O'Brien and Paddy Dow in the top 10, both to Carlton.
Stephenson, Bonar, Ling, Brander all taken in the top 15.

Then from pick 24 you had names such as Tim Kelly, Noah Balter, Tom De Koning, Bailey Fritsch, James Worpel, Dylan Moore, Brent Daniel's, Sam Taylor, Liam Ryan, Tom McCartin, Charlie Ballard, Lloyd Meek and Tristian Xerri.
Liam Baker and Brody Mihocek later on the rookie draft as well.

Will be interesting to see how this year's pans out in a couple of years time.

Agree and if my Lions needed more midfield depth, would have loved to snare Roberts.

But oh well, can't have all the best midfielders at one club and hopefully he goes well at the Bombers.

Just gotta settle for Ashcroft 2.0 and Marshall coming in this year ;)
I envy you as a club mate. The ashcroft boys and Marshall.

Do you see Marshall playing round 1 or biding his time?

Seeing you here, can't wait for Sharp to be front and centre this time next year.
