Richmond are very interested in him at any of their picks between 18 and 24. He's got plenty of interest with Dogs and Richmond the ones with most. Would say 23 is the latest he'll go by could also go as early as 17. If he slips to 30 that'd be a steal.

Dogs are not interested in him . Check their board . Because thy reckon he is too slow at junior level and would not stand a chance at AFL level . The reckon it will be waste of pick to spend on slow player .

Lol what BigFooty board thinks is usually not the same as what recruiters think. BigFooty only rates people by speed if you're not a tall and contested marking abilities if you're a tall. It's like the worst indicator ever.

By their logic Jake Stringer wouldn't have been a good player at AFL level.

I am assuming given we haven't nominated the F/S boys that we are targetting someone with a rookie pick.

My targets would be Polkinghorne and Ravenhill for KPF, Eastham and Toner for tall forwards. Hargrave and Luke Kennedy for mids. If we really wanted a HB I'd just take Burgoyne or Montgomery.

I checked few days ago . I reckon it was page 54 and was not getting much love there. But their fans base may have good or bad opinions about Haynes .
Yeah my point more so is that to most people, speed is the most important criteria in a player. Till my last day, I'll never see it that way. For me, disposal efficiency (in a positive way not backwards), ability to break tackles and ability to find space is superior. Speed is important for sure, but if someone has average speed like Hynes does, to go with the other attributes I've mentioned, they're a target for me. Especially in our midfield where we have lots of speed.

If I'm alone on this hill, so be it haha. Some of the best players in our game don't have breakaway speed

This whole narrative about leg speed is such sh1t.

Look at guys like Pendlebury, Swan just to name a couple. Not remotely quick.

The first few steps are in the head.

This applies to D.Williams aswell, it’s not just his leg speed that has him on the cusp.

Exactly my point! Pendles, Sidebottom, Gray even Bontempelli and Cripps who don't have that elite speed but just break tackles and give themselves space and time.

Would say Williams has an issue with endurance still at AFL level. Efforts sometimes may look average. I actually don't think Williams is slow. I think he's got average speed. But the thing that makes his disposals really good is the fact that he doesn't just blaze away when he has the ball and instead takes his time. But there are other deficiencies no doubt that's keeping him outside.

Just saw some content around Trainor and how the concussion issues are rumours and speculation (according to his Sandy coach). I don't know how true that is but assuming the club does due diligence on Trainor and he's fine, for me he's an equal 3rd option with our first pick behind Reid and Shanahan.

I would slide back and take that 16 and 21 deal. Would give us access to Trainor and one of Hynes/Dattoli/Hannaford.

If that were to happen, what are people's thoughts on moving Bergman into the MID/FWD role? Not wing! Centre bounce and forward in a rotating role with JHF and Rozee. And Trainor fits as the 3rd intercepting tall.

The ability to gain seperation from your opponent in a pretty important as a medium forward.
