He had a long lay-off so possibly not at his peak fitness. He was also playing limited minutes at Carlton which could mean he's got no tank and needs to play limited minutes.

Surely bonner should be trialed at half forward?

Shanking ~50% of your tough kicks in the backline is diabolical for the team.

Doing the same at the other end of the ground isn't.

Yeah I think this makes good sense today with Arie there and Nas back in the team. High half forward kicking inside 50, hopefully someone will lead.

Very keen to see how Arie goes today in his first match at Marvel. With a little experience in the big time now hopefully he'll handle the pressure just fine.
