Rob is always doing a deal and working things in the background. Given his strong ties to Carr it is conceivable to think his allegiance lies in that direction. But nothing surprises me with this mob anymore so I can't be certain either way.

Not going to name names, but there is a big footy member who is well versed on this forum who called Snowdon a little over two years ago. They left a voicemail message to Snowdon questioning a number of decisions surrounding his conduct on the Board and whether said conduct was ethical and just under the relevant codes both of the Club's rules of governance and under the relevant penal codes of Law. Snowdon shat himself when he got this message and called half a dozen people connected to the Club in an absolute panic.

I should have known back then that he talked a big game and had the relevant runs on the board (pardon the pun) relative to his career but he's turned out to be another one of the boys' club pushing his agendas to stroke his own ego.

I don't trust George either fwiw. He already had his chance on the Board, I'm not a fan of giving people a second go down the line and he's not just potentially putting his hand up because he loves the club. There's always further motives at play.
Shit. Is there anybody out there that we can trust. F*ck the human race.

From my perspective with Snowdon he has been flip flopping with regards to the Hinkley situation and has been pushing his own agenda. George has his own agendas at play as well, but at least we know publicly where he stands on Hinkley.

Snowdon is supposed to be representing the members. How many members do we think he has actually spoken to and engaged with during his tenure? If that phone call from a big footy poster is anything to go by, he runs and avoids all scrutiny and accountability from the very people who voted him into that position in the first place.

What is Snowdon's agenda? What is Fiacchi's agenda? Can someone please have an agenda that actually helps PA win a flag. So over it.

George wants there to be more of a focus on football and more accountability.

Snowden has been part of a committee that has repeatedly kept Ken.

That's good enough for me.

Was privy to a conversation at the 150th launch end of 2019 where George said you basically can’t have any impact serving on this board, so it’s interesting he’d be potentially having another go at it.

Honestly I’m so at my wits end with this whole organisation I kinda hope he gets on and just causes chaos and carnage.

Yeh, agree. Snowdon is not getting my vote. If that is Georges focus then that's great.

Just trying to remember previous events - did the club run Wanganeen against George a while back when George was up for board election?

Aka try to bully the ones they don't like into not running.
My understanding is that they don't even need to do that as they can reject any nomination they deem unsuitable. I could be wrong.

They're all politicians and if they're not they will be eaten alive by the politicians. Sadly, I think that's what is happening to Tredders, too much trust and not enough ability to politically manoeuvre. He has an agenda that the members want but it is frozen out of the broader agenda by the stone killer politics.

Let's be honest, he was brought in as an agent of change and nothing has changed. Oh wait, Luke Kelly was sacked to be replaced by Cam Sutcliffe. Not a tick.

The guy who could engineer change is one of the Shahins who run Peregrine. Those guys get things done, they work with governments and they squeeze the life out of their opposition. And at least some of them are Port supporters. Don't really expect any of them to either run or be appointed, they would terrify Koch.

My main hope for Tredders is to get things done for the footy department but there is a Game of Thrones sized wall to breach and he has to get better at playing the game.

Yes.

They wanted George gone because he was too keen to hold the club accountable.

This is a pretty accurate summary I think.

I hope he has learnt now not to be so trusting and I hope he finds a side kick (be it George or someone else) that has his back.

It's early days for Tredders. I didn't expect him to be able to pull off ousting Hinkley in 2024. The politicians on the board would be huddling together to keep him as an outsider & minimise his influence. And they know Tredders is backed by the supporters, unlike them. Hopefully with time he can raise the clubs football standards.

The real test will be what happens in 2025 in relation to Ken. But someone on the board that terrifies Koch would be perfect.

That's what I thought re George, disgusting mo by the club. And unfortunately I didn't realise what they were doing at the time & voted for Wanganeen. I'm much more aware now. So sick of the manipulation.

Maybe with Tredrea there he feels like he might not be a lone voice this time.

We are going to have to learn to be a lot more politically savvy if we want to create real change
