Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but I can't be too excited by LDU's polling last night when I think the whole voting process is hopelessly flawed and therefore the entire award is a meaningless exercise which is mainly used these days as TV event and to promote sports gambling through the length of the season.

I would have thought gambling on the Brownlow would have been ceased after... Well... You know. A couple of years ago.

I actually love betting on the Brownlow and many of the side props. Would be quite boring for me otherwise I suspect.

In fact I backed JHF at 5.00 to be Port's leading vote getter (and felt quite ill at ease with myself in the process).

Pretty happy with the result after they were fawning all over Daicos all night. Makes me sick.

If we happened to win 10 - 12 games, LDU would have to be a massive chance to snag a Brownlow.
