You never know but it seems unlikely that Bont will get up. Hope it happens.

My guess is Daicos. Had an awesome stretch in the middle of the season which will get him in the lead and think he'll do enough to hold it. Can't see any other Pies player getting even double figures. Almost every Pies win will be 3 votes NDaicos.

Hopefully Bont wins a Brownlow in his career

No guarantee he will but he certainly deserves one.

Bont would just be glad he won a premiership.

Some great players over the years have never been Brownlow Medal winners.

So Bont will be leading all of those stats after tomorrow night.

Bont won't win it sadly. The team and himself have a poor patch or two each season, where we/he does not impact. Players like Cripps, Neale, stand out even when the team is playing poorly, and handle tags better. Thus able to string more voting games together. Would love to be wrong, he deserves on at some point. But time is running out fast.

Of all the leading contenders Bont deserves it most (yes that's no guarantee and plenty of greats don't have one).

The thought of Neale as a three time, Cripps two time and Daicos winning one before Bont is just wrong. Still can't believe Wines beat him that year.

Then again this is the AFL. The same competition that had Lewis Taylor win the Rising Star over Bont.

Only hope is that they pull out a reverse whacky result in our favour this time :drunk:

Agree with most probably won't be Bont's year but he'll poll well. Will add to his extraordinary career totals.

- Will almost certainly become the highest Dogs pollgetter in history. Currently on 169, behind only Dempsey at 176 and West on 175.

- Only 2 players in history have 50 or more 3 vote games (GAJ and Dangerfield). 2 more with a chance of joining them this year (Neale on 46, Bont on 42).

- His record of 3 votes in 18.5% of all games played is #1 all time, 4 or more 3 vote games sees that maintained.

Neale got about 10 extra votes at the start of last year because the umpires felt bad that they gave it to Cripps the previous year. That might be the Bont's best chance tonight. He'll get his share of 3s where he has dominated but needs those accumulation 1 and 2s when there is no obvious choice
