Have more of a hope Hynes could be a midfielder than a few here based on his U18's footy, he finds the footy very easily when he is put into the middle. Needs some development in a few areas but he does seem to get involved in a lot of scoring chains and nearly always seems to have his head on a swivel trying to find team mates in better positions to kick goals. We love Murphy Reid and trying to get a pick high enough for him. Probably won't get it done. We like Cooper Hynes also i hear

Aswell as Essendonrather than trying to put everythign in to upgrade Geelong's first (us or them doing it). There's definitely an argument in this draft for just trying to get extra late first rounder.early second in.
Brisbane will be trading their pick out, we could probably work something out there or get Geelong to.
Sulzberger would be a great late pick up.
Seems to have good speed and power out of the middle. Great size too, 188cm.

According to a poster from the region on the main draft thread.
"Bulldogs have met with Josh Sanders MID (Geelong Falcons) multiple times - would be late pick or rookie"
A small 176cm player. Played 3 and 9 games the last two years for the Falcons. According to Rookie Me Central. Not sure how on top they are with the stats. Low game averages in most stats. But one stood out to me the most. 50 tackles from 9 games this season, which is massive.
Have a slight feeling he may have been used as a small defender?
A bit of googling suggests he's been playing a defensive half forward role.According to a poster from the region on the main draft thread.

Kicked 3 goals from his 9 games this year as a small forward. Averaged 5.6 tackles but had 13 in round 3 which was a bit of an outlier.According to a poster from the region on the main draft thread.

HF and small forward are different roles though, especially in our set up.Yeah I don't see it personally. I'm just quoting what someone else posted.
You'd think the club will learn that there is more to a small forward role than just tackles and pressure. We need scoreboard impact as well, our smalls did near sweet stuff all the last few weeks. I think we need more rounded players and not one or two trick types.
If I were picking a Late/Rookie small forward I'd be getting Taj Stanley from the NT. He has played all over the ground but is best suited up forward in my view.Yeah I don't see it personally. I'm just quoting what someone else posted.

Gee, Ollie Hannaford looks good. Has that mongrel in him, closes down space quickly and can hit the scoreboard. High energy player.

You think he will go that early? I have him in contention late second or third round. If we end up with a late first rounder and Hotton and co are unavailable, I'd quite happily take him. We need this type of player and he could impact early.

It would be nice to have someone with a good balance of defensive pressure and scoreboard impact, I don't care who it is or where they're taken. We have alot that can do one or the other but not many that can do both. They say: “This kid can just play both ends. He’s got such high end speed, such quick reactions off the mark. He’s so powerful and aggressive. His forward pressure’s A-grade, it’s elite, but he can also hit the scoreboard.” – Rebels coach David Loader

The thing I do like about Oliver is that hurt factor. He doesn't get alot of it but doesn't waste anything either. It is a similar trait to Richards early days, he'd struggle to have more then 15 touches off halfback/wing but they were all meaningful. If he can improve his production whilst maintaining the defensive intent and impact per possession he will be a serious player.Interesting this was said about Oliver. I like him as a player, but it also sounds like he's of very good character and someone you want at your club.
Harrison Oliver (Sandringham Dragons)
We say: A small rebounding defender with a piercing left-foot kick, Oliver loves to take the game on and break the lines from the back half. He is combative in the contest and sets up scoring chains from the back half.
They say: “He’s really the heart and soul of our group. He’s a great person. He’s part of our leadership group and really connects our group.” – Dragons coach Rob Harding.
