Unlike some I don't post for likes, I post for discussion.I like heaps of stuff. You just don't notice because none of it's yours.
Odds are you're right, but you just never know. A bit of dynamism to our midfield that allows us to move the ball more aggressively that we were able to in 2024 could provide a spark that sees us become more competitive that we could be.I'd love to be wrong about this but I can't see us making finals in the next four years. By then Tarranto and Hopper are in their twilight I would have thought. If I was Blair I'd be building this list now with that in mind. I think Tarranto and Hopper are going to be great players to have around to set standards, drive culture and protect the kids from being smashed but unfortunately I think it's highly likely we don't win our next flag with them in the side.
What if our recruiters believe that Smith & Draper were the 2 best pure midfielders in the pool? Just because posters like particular players doesn't mean our recruiters think the same.We are starting again, get the best two for 5 years from now that will be at the heart of our midfield with the high high picks we have this year. In 2-3 years time when our 1-5 picks become 5-12 picks start balancing our dynamic duo from this year.
When you look at performances across the 2024 season those 2 are among the most consistent players in that top 7 group along with Langford. Yet for whatever reason they are seemingly dismissed by a few posters on here as not being good enough for us and that staggers me.
