Ned Bowman has shown shades of real ability. Great leap and speed. Currently a forward but seems to show enough traits that perhaps he could be developed as a wing or half- back?
Would love him as a late pick. High upside.

He is one we've looked at. His intercept ability when in defence is something held in high regard.

I'm not sure how any 1st Round pick would be worrisome.

One I wouldn't mind after our first three picks is Cody Angove. Fits in with what we need on many fronts and has a hell of a lot of talent even if he is raw.

He reminds me of Bob Murphy when we played him as a forward, very skinny but very dangerous

Very weird draft when there are 2 very different outcomes that are completely plausible.

First 2 picks could be Reid & Hannaford and we’ve absolutely smashed the draft.

Or we could be walking away with Dattoli & Gross… (I’d be happy to trade our 1st in this scenario)

I'd be shattered with Option 2. Over the moon with Option 1 tho

Yeah if option 2 plays out some pretty highly rated talls will still be on the board and I reckon we could get a pretty good trade for that pick.
We could trade back into the second round or just pick up an extra player at the end of the draft.

If we were desperate for kpp you would consider train but we aren’t. His position on our list should be discounted for that and discounted again for health concerns. Our needs are smalls and we shouldn’t get too cute…. Just take the best available ones that fall to our picks.

Yeah, Oliver would just be a tremendous pick based on the analysis. Hannaford is interesting as he could be anything.

A hard nut who is good overhead and a great kick? yes please.

If a player has talent you can easily turn them into a defender and in junior footy the players with the least amount of talent generally play in the backline.

That was certainly the case back in my day, that why I never ever played back

What pick could we realistically get if we swap 17 and 25 for and early pick. Is around 8 a possibility and those know the players better than me in the draft who could we get and is it worth it.

The clubs first three picks, in that range you have a one in three chance of getting a long term player so if you’re not going after a specific type with all of the picks there’s not a great chance you’ll fill a list need.

Can't discount the being 190cms and built like a brick shithouse as a teen either.

Do you mean he might become less effective aainst players his own size? yeah.

I think if he can handle AFl size and speed, he might land somewhere between Oliver and Dunkley

You can put a decent player behind the ball any time, yeah, but someone with genuine defensive intent is harder to find. I’d draft Harrison Oliver early.

If two big sliders, or a big slider and Hannaford, were there at our first would people trade our F1 for Richmond's pick next to get both?

I'm not sure I would given we have 25, 35 and 47 to come already.

I'd do it if the slider was Murphy Reid, would give our F1 for the opportunity to grab him. Seems he would complement Sanders and we'd just need to find the speed/power combo elsewhere. Apparently we love Reid so could see it happening.

Might do it for Hotton also, depending on how highly we rated him.
