Port and freos picks are 2 & 3 picks after 25. They would both be jumping on player eagles are likely going take. Cal has them taking Bowman which are probably both targeting. So whoever dogs are after is likely safe.
Not a bad way to pocket a F3 or a nice little upgrade like:

Port give: 29, 36
Bulldogs give: 25, 48

Would give us 17, 29, 35, 36

Personally I would not want to miss someone like Oliver, Clarke or Davis because we do that downgrade.

One mock tied us to Cody Anderson with a late pick. He's an incredible defensive midfielder but if anyone has any vision of him hitting a target by foot, let me know because I can't find any.

Good luck to the kid but he would concern me.

We should just keep the pick I say
I would also rather keep 25, I'd be more inclined to trade back 17 if there isn't a slider and have two picks in the 20s plus bank an extra pick next year.

I don't know the clubs willingness to a trade at this point though only that conditional offers have been made.

These look like the picks thst get us Reid. I think Berry & Hotton are highly unlikely.

“The Eagles have been mulling whether a midfielder or tall is their approach, having been linked to Victorian midfield pair Murphy Reid and Taj Hotton as well as Armstrong, Shanahan and Jack Whitlock. Many rival clubs believe Hotton could be snapped up by the Eagles.”

“Clubs expect the Giants to take a tall with one of their picks, while the possibility of grabbing both Whitlock twins – Matt and Jack – also looms to shore up their long-term backline and forward line bookends. Hotton has also had interest from the Giants, while they could grab robust and versatile forward Ollie Hannaford ahead of him being picked with later selections.”

We are interested, however if we have equal interest in another player who we view will be there at pick 29 (Maximum 4 spot slide), then we may see it beneficial given it likely sees us move 48 into 36.
I’d think/ hope we’d ask for more than that. Last year similar trades were done at a cost of a future 2nd round pick just to move back a few spots.

Seems as though we’ll pick Dattoli if Reid or Berry doesn’t slide to us?

I’m still keen to move our F1 for another pick in that range.

Nothing too startling in here, but discusses a few we are linked with.
We're linked with most of them!
Every kid we get is going to upset someone - for all the talk of this being a 'deep draft', so many kids from late first round frame onwards have obvious deficiencies in their game.

I feel like this is one draft where the kid taken at 50 is a decent chance of being better than the kid taken at 25. Hopefully we use all 5 picks rather than just the 4.

I really wish we were linked to Hamish Davis a little more - he is that hybrid forward/mid like a lot of the kids we're linked to, but with an outstanding tank.

It does feel like this is a draft where there is a fair bit of smoke and shadows behind the windows (to paraphrase a former Bulldogs great).

Won't be surprised if who we're linked with is way different to who we end up with.

Would perhaps be better to trade back 17 a couple to not reach for Harry Oliver (who I really like) and then upgrade a few of our later picks.
