Didn't he mix up the Whitlocks? He’s decent in his home state but knows diddly squat about clubs needs
He would listen to blokes like Shifta Sheahan mix a few up , he's a fraud as a guru . You are better than himHe’s decent in his home state but knows diddly squat about clubs needs

I think Joel will likely play on a wing in the VFL to begin with while Edwards and Snell are given priority alongside Francis. He'll get some time down back intercepting, especially when Francis isn't available while travelling elsewhere as an emergency.AFL Talent Ambassador Kevin Sheehan has released profiles on the top tall defenders
Joel Cochran
State: NSW/ACT
State League Club: Sydney Swans Academy
Community Club: UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs
Date of Birth: 28/03/2006
Height: 194cm
A super athletic and versatile defender who can also play on a wing. Is strong overhead and has a great work ethic. Was impressive for the Sydney Swans Academy in the Coates Talent League, averaging 18 disposals in three matches. Played all four games with the Allies at the National Championships, averaging 14 disposals and 4.5 marks, including having 21 disposals in an impressive performance in the win over Western Australia. Also showed slices of his potential playing for the Australia U18 team against VFL outfit Coburg, as well as an appearance for Sydney’s VFL side against Collingwood. A state-level athlete in the 400m and 800m events, he stood out at the national Draft Combine with his time of 6:05 in the 2km time trail ranked first.

Did the classic dumb draft prospect mistake when evaluating a non-white player: the comparison player is also non-white.
Leo Lombard = Touk Miller
Isaac Kako = Izak Rankine
Are we to really believe Touk Miller is really the best comparison for Lombard across the entire league? Or could it be that they just happen to look more like each other so therefore it feels like they play similarly? I don't know myself, but it seems lazy to me.
Good moves with Francis and Hamling. If someone swoops in on one of them, I wouldn't be distraught.
Indhi Kirk fills a need, in that he is a skinny outside running type and we need at least 40 of them on the list or we will be folded.Good moves with Francis and Hamling. If someone swoops in on one of them, I wouldn't be distraught.
No idea how Kirk stays on the list, outside of nepotism.
Maybe we're going to take 1 or 2 that would otherwise get to the rookie draft, late in the ND so we don't miss out. Get in before teams with earlier rookie picks (everyone but Lions), but are tighter on senior list spots.
Mature age mid ahoy!
Mustn't be bringing in a flanker in the draft so had to retain oneIndhi Kirk fills a need, in that he is a skinny outside running type and we need at least 40 of them on the list or we will be folded.
robbieando’s last update in the status thread was:Is that meaning 4 or 5 national draft picks or more than that?
We have moved to 32/4/2 to my understanding (unless Edwards is up to a rookie A)robbieando’s last update in the status thread was:
Open spots - 3 Senior List and 3 Cat A Rookie List
Moving 2 from senior to rookie would make it 5 senior and 1 Cat A rookie
List lodgement 1 tomorrow
Pretty much, yesWe have moved to 32/4/2 to my understanding (unless Edwards is up to a rookie A)
If Edwards is rookie A then it would be 32/5/1.
Need atleast 36 main list spots but can go up to 38. So 6 spots with atleast 4 being seniors but can be up to 6 is my understanding
Makes sense.Pretty much, yes
Says to me we’re not going to risk missing out on players waiting for rookie draft, and just draft in via ND
Yep much like Geelong did last year there is bound to be experienced players or sliders at the "extra picks" we will get given at the draft now. Think it will end up being like pick 79 + 80 we get from the AFLMakes sense.
If we really like someone, then I would rather pick them in the 50s/60s. Rather than hope they are still there at pick 17 in the rookie draft.
Makes sense. 4 live selections + Cochran would leave us with either a main or rookie slot left after Francis and Hamling are re rookiedOne option I saw posted on Reddit.
We're taking 4 live picks to the draft, however keeping 1 as backup in case Cochrane gets a bid on him after our 4th
Seems the most sensible but least exciting optionMakes sense. 4 live selections + Cochran would leave us with either a main or rookie slot left after Francis and Hamling are re rookied
